The Glazers have put a fortune into United… With respect, you don’t know how money works. Even though they didn’t use their own money to acquire United all the money spent since then was their money. All ultra wealthy people use money how they do. I’d guess between 80 & 90% of the businesses in the UK were acquired the same way they acquired Manchester United. Wealthy people “use” other people’s money & don’t use their own. A great example is cars: they lease a new one every 3 months or so through one of their businesses to avoid having to register & pay taxes on the car. It’s not so much severe penny pinching but more bc their money is tied up in stocks & bonds & dont want to sell any of them. I used to work in commercial real estate & my dad is a retired investment banker so I’ve been around a lot of people that operate in that world.

ahh the real Simon Jordan.. due to his personal distain of like of Gary neville he then does what he can to diminish Salford who like Jim mentioned secured 4 promotions in there tenure,, and I suppose that's the difference Simon was obviously a classy operator some years back and no doubt has a few forex trades ticking over in the back ground but theirs reason clubs aren't diving out there seats to have someone like him at the head.. and that's not even a jibe at him but I always think like with his views on managers and the way he puts down others and promotes friends like Warnock on pulls who duck and dive in and out of contracts is outdated..
