Steph obviously, he’s the one that didn’t have to leave. Steph won before, with and after KD. KD hasn’t won anything outside of GS, the narrative would only continue to be KD can’t win without GS. Meanwhile Steph continue to win championships without getting the criticism that KD gonna get. They going look at KD like you left and they won again without you. Bad look for KD.

He needed KD when he had him and before really wasn’t very good by his regular season MVP standard in 15(no Kyrie no Love they lose in 5 if Bron had them that year) an 16(they lost)in finals in those finals wo KD he scored less than playing alongside KD. The last finals he took that step as not just regular season man but that dude in finals

Not to mention steph and Barnes having the worst series of their career and it still came down to the last minute. Healthy warriors vs healthy cavs the warriors will win almost every time

Kareem was already considered the greatest of all time before Magic Johnson was even drafted. Kareem legacy was already intact before magic you have to realize how long Kareem played. During that 80s run Magic was the best player on the lakers most of the decade. Look up the stats.

KD went to a ready-made team coming off the best regular-season record in NBA history. LeBron and D'wade came together and recruited Bosh. Miami wasn't going anywhere without LeBron. The Warriors were going back the finals without KD (possibly). I hope that clears things up for you.

I think everyone overstates the 2016 finals. Yes of course it was amazing what Lebron did but let’s not act like he demolished the warriors that year. They BARELY won in a GAME 7 and it came down to an amazingly clutch shot from Kyrie to beat those warriors. I think if both teams ran it back it’d be a coin flip on who would win

Why does ERRBODY seem to forget that when the Cavs beat the W's in the Finals (in 7 games) that the W's were without Bogut...Green had gotten ejected in game 5 and suspended in game 6 (because of a foul that wasn't called BUT should've been on LeBron) and Steph had hyperextended his knee in the series with the Rockets before the Finals...

I think it’s odd, when Lebron gets super stars, nobody thinks it’s cheating. But if curry gets help, they think it’s not fair. What a double standard. Curry is simply so good and he makes others better, even more so than other super stars. Kd doesn’t make others better, neither does Lebron imo

As a Bay Area native and Warriors fan since Run-TMC(Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, Chris Mullin) We don’t want or need Kevin Durant. He’s a great player, but out here in the bay we like the journey and challenge of winning with our own. I was highly upset when we got him the first time. It’s been proven that we can win Championships with or without him. It’s messing with my teams Leagacy.

The NBA media makes this weird thing where they assume if you just add a really talented player, that it will lead to success. The Warriors literally just proved that a team can beat a more athletic, talented team. So, yes, KD is better than everyone on GS except Steph but the players they currently have fit and work well together.

Marcellus basically acknowledged that this would not be a good look for KD, without even knowing it, by saying how LeBron and Steph are in a slugfest fighting to get to head of the table, but Marcellus didn't mention anything about KD in the fight to get anywhere near the head of the table. That makes KD the new James Worthy, an all time great, but not a top 10. If KD wants to sit at the head of the table, he has to do it on a team that has never won before and he has to be the undeniably best player on that team

Steph would benefit more. KD would not benefit at all. Steph won 2 without KD now. Steph got 4 rings. If KD comes bacc, he could help them win 3-4 more rings but it is now SOLIDIFIED IN STONE that this is Steph’s team. KD could win 3-4 more FMVP and it wouldn’t change that. Going back to GS would be detrimental to KD’s legacy in every facet even if they go out and dominate like they should.

Well he was 2nd in scoring this year and the season before that was ranked 6th in defense. Problem was this year AD was out more than half the season and they have zero depth so he had to prioritize offense 🤷♂️

Steph doesn't need a superstar to beat Lebron. The 3-1 travesty came with a Draymond suspension and an ejection in the fourth quarter of steph being fouled out after playing amazing defense. Those are called phantom fouls. It came down to one game with all the games being officiated in LeBron favor with Lebron having to cry to the league office to have Draymond suspended. With all of that Harrison Barnes had a game where he scored 0 points. He was terrible that entire play off run. Literally every thing that could go wrong went wrong and Lebron barely beat them. They bested them by one game. I have no clue why people are acting like Golden State got swept when kyrie and love showed up. The cavs were down 3-1 getting blown out until they cried to the league office got draymond suspended and curry ejected from a game.

The Warriors don't need KD, nor should they invest in him. KD needed the Warriors in order to win 2 championships. He played in about 90 games in his 3 seasons with the Nets, is older, and he gave up on his teams. They are asking to much for KD and he's not worth it at this stage in his career.

Both. How are we gonna argue the fact that both Kareem and Magic are both top 10 players and won 5 titles together. Kareem won 1 mvp with magic and 1 finals mvp with magic. Magic won 3 finals mvps and 3 mvps with Kareem and that never diminished either of them. The problem with the playing with a top 10 player argument is there are only 10 in that equation. When wilt won with the Lakers Jerry west was likely a top 10 all time player at the time. When russel won his titles Sam Jones might have been a top 15-20 all time player at that time. Playing with another great player should not diminish you if you were both putting in work. LBJ had Wade and Bosh then Allen. Later Love and Kyrie . Then Howard, Rondo and AD when AD was honestly the best player in the regular season, first 3 rounds and first 2 games of the finals before he got hurt yet his help is never uses to diminish his greatness

Kd could have been the MVP this year. He was on pace to be the #1 seed with brooklyn before he went down. With his stats and #1 seed he probably gets the MVP. Last year I thought Steph deserved the MVP over jokic but that's another conversation. I don't know if you realize this but KD hasn't had more than 4 healthy seasons in his prime outside of Golden state. In one of them he won a MVP. Both curry and KD were disqualified for MVP during 2017-2019 which is why I say outside of Golden state

Wiley's argument about LeBron is pretty whack, and laughable. It's based off of a narrative that more and more people are starting to realize is overstated. The narrative being GS had no chance of beating the 2017 and 18 Cavs without KD. But the real laughable part of the argument is suggesting that Curry and GS have to worry about LeBron and the Lakers. There are a few threats in the West, but the Lakers aren't one of them. They need to get rid of Westbrook, add Kyrie, and show that AD (and LeBron for that matter) can stay healthy enough for them to be considered a legitimate threat. And those are a lot of conditions to meet. I do agree that Curry would benefit more from KD rejoining GS, but it has nothing to do with LeBron. People have pretty much widely accepted that Curry should have won Finals MVP in 2015, and he can win a title with KD (with the 2022 chip). Adding KD back would just enhance Curry's chances of winning more rings, while being regarded as the leader of GS. And adding more rings under that regard will move him slowly up the list. I don't really think he'll reach the top 5. But if he finishes with 6 or 7 rings, the debates would begin.
