“Would’ve Been A Game Changer” | Reform UK’s Nigel Farage Will Not Run For Election

Nigel Farage has said he will focus on getting Donald Trump re-elected rather than stand as a Reform UK candidate in the July 4 General Election.
The arch Brexiteer said he would “do my bit to help” the party in the UK campaign but that it is not the right time “to go any further than that”.
Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer discusses this further with Conservative commentator Benedict Spence.

Well, he did give it a good run. He's been rejected, I think, 6/7 times at the polls. I think it's a form of political correctness for him to stand down. What is so egregious is that his liberal and democratic roles and motives have not been recognized by the government or the royal family. He should at least been made a knight or given an earldom/ dukedom for his conservative right wing efforts. The guy is a modern-day hero.

Nigel doesn't owe us anything, if anything, we owe him a great debt for being helping us get the brexit vote. Let him do what he wants, I say. Having him becoming an MP wasn't going to do much to fix things, and frankly i think Reform is probably DOA anyway. I think he's far better off and more influential as a media personality.

@@C.J.M Vote conservative or not, Labour are going to landslide this election either way. However, more votes for Reform may sway current conservatives to join reform in the following election. Most Tory voters are not going to Reform, they are going to Labour, the Lib Dems and Green. Right wing outlets like TalkTV have a tiny audience, and yet their message to the Tories is that the Tories need to chase the GB News/ TalkTV audience to survive, "real" conservatism as they say. But the truth is over 60% of Brits are voting for the left in different forms. Reform are on about 10% maximum. The Greens are on similar. The right wing vote is not very big.

No offense meant, but it would be a waste of Farage's time and talent, to be a Reform UK MP, with Labour controlling the government. Whatever the virtue of Tory policies there biggest problem is Sunak - so uninspiring and more like a village bank manager rather than a convincing leader with passion and gravitas. Thats the decider for many
