there was a freshman in a senior elective (for ppl who were done with all the mandatory classes) writing intensive class about fantasy in fiction... she was absolutely insufferable. she told on the teacher bc the teacher was so excited to see the Lord of the Rings trilogy in a theater that was playing all 3 movies one weekend that she suggested giving students who show up a few extra credit points. of course the girl couldn't go because she was 14 and probably not allowed to watch movies at all! god FORBID you don't get all the EXTRA CREDIT you definitely don't need because your life is getting all the points in every class in a school that doesn't even go past 100% for a 4.0. (i straight up don't believe ppl when they say they got a 4.8 gpa... sooo the school offered enough extra credit to pull a 2.3 low c average up to a 3.1 b average?? that sounds like FAR TOO MUCH extra credit... maybe when you're already at a 4.5 go read a book or watch a movie, idk, find something else to do? relax? take a nap?)
