I Jayawardena yep the tower thing was in 2009. I remember seeing the top of the mountain being chopped off and the tower being built.

The Tower built in 2009. But the Ambuluwawa is near by the Gompola (Town) was made the capital city of the island by King Buwanekabahu IV, who ruled for four years in the mid fourteenth century. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Gampola

I was born and raised in sri lanka. This to me is the most beautiful country ever. You can litterely take a two hour drive to a completely different habitat with different vegitations and habitat. Thats why its so special to me. I did a video recently about my country feel free to watch it on my channel.

This is located in my husband's home town. Near to this tower there are some small waterfalls and one beautiful river. Some peoples are selling fruit pickles and some spicy snacks. Love to go there again🙆

It’s in my hometown. I just live down that mountain like 10 minutes away. It’s not as scary as you see. Anybody who visits make sure to climb to the top. I have climbed many times to the top.

No! There wasn’t anything until 1996. 🙂just the mountain top. It was converted in to a tourist attraction from 1996 onwards by late D.M Jayaratne as a mode to increase tourism in the area 🙂
