I've been buying from Harbor Freight Tools for many years now, and I'm glad to say that their quality has been improving over the years. We finally have a brand new Harbor Freight in our town of Vernal, they had moved in to where Staples use to be. Our economy is harsh on stores, especially new ones, so I'm hoping that HFT can withstand the economy here and continue providing great tools at great prices.

The magnetic light is handy for use with RV awnings. Use an electrical junction box cover (smooth the edges!) on top of the fabric to hold the light under the fabric. I keep the steel plate in a zip-lock sandwich bag to keep it from rusting. I keep it in the baggy while using it! No stitching, no glue -- totally temporary. Works under patio umbrellas also.

People complain about the junky quality of Harbor Freight tools but it depends on what you're doing. Here's an example: I bought a HF belt sander for under $30. Yes it's cheap but it did the job I needed it for and it still works although the filter bag ripped. Since I don't need a belt sander often, years ago I rented a belt sander for 1 day. Guess what it cost me? $40. Which is the better deal?

Generally, HF items are cheap. But they're also extremely unreliable. So if you're going to depend on something, you need to buy 5 of them so be sure one works when you need it. And rather than buying 5, you could buy one quality item for the same price.

I work at Harbor Freight.. Great deals, Nice product and prices.. Yes there are some cheaply made tools/items in the mix. But if you really think about it, if you're looking for items you can't find anywhere else and you are in a bind for cash. 9 outta 10 we have it.. Have a great day.

I've had the trays...not a bad product....if I could make one change it'd be to make the mounts snug-fit. I hang my trays vertically and to compensate for the loose-fit I mount them at a slight incline (further out from the wall at the bottom). This keeps the sockets from falling off too easily. The magnetic holder is great mounted to a handle....strong enough to pick up screws and nails even if they're lost in grass. I use a second one mounted on my creeper to make it easy to keep fasteners from getting lost and within easy reach. And those handheld/hanging lights.....both the red triangle and the blue oval....great little lights. Usually both hanging and magnetic. We keep several of them around the house, on the fridge and in the vehicles. Just get them with the free coupons. HF offers those free with a purchase pretty frequently.

If you have a #10 or a #21 drill bit you can pop two holes in the back of that hardware box frame and use drywall screws to hang it. I did and it works great!

I already have everything you just showed. I used a free coupon on the headlight and the triangle light, a 20% off coupon on the organizers and the round LED light has a $7.99 coupon, that in the sale papers often. At HF, they let you just take a picture of all the coupons, and they scan them off your smart phone, that way you never have to cut your catalog apart.

I love the magnetic tool holder bar. Have several of those. Some in the shop, some in the garage. Great item

I have a set of socket trays just like those. I've tried about fifty different ways of socket organization and they are by far my favorite. I have a similar triangle light that I've used the hook to hang from my open truck lid when broken down. Good stuff, thanks for the video.

That tool kit would make a great Crappie/Trout box. Jigs,lures and bobbers would fit perfectly.

HF, great place to pick up items ya just might need one day, especially if they're free with those awesome coupons: Tarp, variety of flashlights-batteries included, batteries-heavy duty and alkaline, variety of small tools, voltage battery meter, large scissors, etc. If the coupon states free with purchase, get a $1 dollar or less item and use the 20% off coupon for it and look, for less than $1 , you have a free flashlight with batteries and the discount item. Those little black flashlights are quite bright and the blue oval (flash) light is daylight at nighttime, with free batteries to last quite awhile.

Don't ever apologize for the way you are dressed. I wore a uniform for years till I became disabled. People that work with their hands are what made this county great. Be safe.

If you put that magnet holder between 2 Rollerblade wheels and pull it through the yard it will pick up anything magnetic and metal dropped. I love harbor freight! You can get a different free item every time you go in there as long as you buy something. I usually use the free double or triple A battery coupons when I go.

That yellow box makes for a good fishing/ tackle box for lures and such. & you can mount it to a wall. Just pull the trays out and drill 4 holes in the back of it. Then simply screw it to something. Don't forget to include some washers just for extra strength.

little things like that are ok to buy from Harbor Freight but would never buy a wrench or socket from them ever again , they sell that white metal crap from china that breaks the first time you use it .

The storage container could be mounted with Command Hooks and strips. I'd suggest the ones with the steel hooks that hold heavy weights. A second set of hooks could attach to a took box to have everything together when traveling in the car or truck.

I recently bought a number of impact sockets from harbor freight. I got both. S.a.e. and metric. Later on I was in Lowe's and found the exact same sockets in the same package and Lowe's was a lot more expensive like at least 30 present higher

Sure some things are junk at HFT but pay attention to the items that are almost identical to name brand stuff for much cheaper. Been going there since around 1990

What you call storage and organizer for drill bits, nuts, bolts, etc., I think would be perfect for fishing lures!

Don't know if anybody already said this, but guess you could glue strong magnets on the back of your 50 plastic drawer container and stick it onto your new magnetic bar. (Unless you've already drilled holes on the back).

I remember standing there at the checkout one time and they had these mini file set for cheap(I don't remember what i paid for them)I thought they were neat and bought them and i can't tell you how many times I've used them.

I was thinking about the tote and a good way to hang it up. Some heavy duty velcro with the sticky back side. Fix it in place on a wood wall or the back of your swork bench if its made of wood. Set them where you want them on the wall and stick them on. Use some heave duty staples on the top bottome and middle thru the velcro on the wood then do the same top and bottom but with some super glue. That should be enough to hold it in place and make it removable and mobile!

For mounting the parts box mounting use Velcro. Get the 1" with adhesive backing..

The first thing to do with anything that comes with batteries, is swap them out for alkaline batteries. And IF you are going to put it somewhere for emergency use, take the batteries out of it until needed. IF you get something that has a magnet mount on it, be sure to test it for holding power on some vertical metal IN the store. They vary .

almost all those things you get them free that are around $5 with the coupons on the harbor freight app the triangle light and the head strap light and lots more things that are always free buying anything and since im always buying things from there i have way to many free things already but it helps even further selling them on offerup and you can add that amount to the previous purchase so its as you almost got some other things free hehe love harbor freight and they dont give you a hassle taking a broken tool back just grab it show it and go.

Harbor Freight has a lot of cool cheap items. The only problem is that the quality is also cheap and not known for their longevity How long before the sockets fall off of the wall you mount that on? How long before those lights stop working all together? BTW: You can always drill holes in the box and mount it yourself.

I noticed a lot of people Harbor hatin wherever I go or where I work whenever I tell them about good deals I got and it's really sad because it allows somebody who doesn't make a lot of money to get into Hobbies and do things around the house that they would normally have to borrow tools for and people who b**** about their quality obviously haven't been there in the last couple years because I'm going to tell you their stuff does run neck-and-neck with the competitors at a fraction of the cost and on the very slim chance there is a problem just take that piece of s*** back and they happily give you a new one most of their cheap tools if you use them once you get your money's worth

Not sure about the ability to mount the yellow plastic organizer to a wall. Even if you could it probably wouldn't even support its own weight. For you guys mentioning it would be good for fishing lures they make a thing called a tackle box.

I would like to see some extensive comparison testing on Harbor freight line of tools where they themselves compare brands like Earthquake vs. Snapon, Hercules vs. Dewalt, and many many others including tool chests and cabinets. Some of the testing could get pricey if things were torn down to component level. What are the differences in construction, materials, assembly, etc.. If HF is as good as they claim they should gladly donate these items as it would be great advertising, increasing sales. Your channel (perhaps you could start another channel) would grow. A lot to ask I know but I'm sure I'm not the only one interested.

You better buy a whole bunch of batteries for that damn led light. I bought several of those for less than $5 during a sale. Nice, but the batteries don't last long at all.

Got most of these. Did what you did. If you get the morning paper, lots of time it will have HF ads in it as well as the coupon sections. Also, sign up for the monthly catalog ad. The front section has the real coupons at discounted rates.

It's not a bad price for the socket organizing trays but the sockets do not stay in place. If you flip the socket upside down, the sockets fall out.

Harbor Freight is great! Besides the incredible prices, 20% off coupons and free item, they have items, useful items, that you cannot find at Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware or True Value Hardware. I shop there 1-2 a month. Plus if you need a tool that you won't use ofte, they probably have it, inexpensive. Only item I have not had great success with is true plastic tie tool. They gladly refunded me. Eric is right, great place!!
