@@jadonharper1493 If you download mp3 files from the files, the metadata has composer credits on them. They also show internal names on them, seemingly what the composers themselves called the pieces, which is different to the filenames themselves. For example, the tracks on this video, the tracks from 0:00 - 4:50 have the filename of "Shadopan_a_hero_1-3", but the when you check the properties of the file, the internal name is "Ginsu Valor 1-3H". The tracks at 6:45 - 9:46 are titled "Shadopan_b_hero 1-2", but their internal name is "Positive Chi". And the tracks at 4:50 - 6:45 are titled "Shadopan_a_walk", but the internal name is "Cardonian Wood Walk". A lot of tracks in MoP have filenames that are like "Krasarang Wilds 1", but the internal name is "Kunlai", seemingly many pieces were composed for the areas, only then to be placed in other ones, which is quite interesting. Totally made this comment way too long after the initial answer, oops. EDIT: the other track at 4:50 - 6:45 by Russell is actually called "WoW Cardon 4 Strings", which probably means Sam Cardon actually composed it, or helped with it, even though he isn't credited, since he was the one who actually composed the main theme of the expansion which is that specific melody at 6:28, but Russell made his own track with it.

2:05 Started playing when I made it into the Townlong Steppes. In pursuit on the trail of the Sha of Hatred, an army of Yaungol and Mantids standing between it and I. Still one of my favorite moments in WoW to this day. The setpiece, the music, the story, it all sealed the adventure together.

From the very start of the track to 1:07 is epic. Listening to that bit, you feel as if you've gone back in time to the days of ancient China and the golden age of the Han Dynasty. Ancient elegance embodied in song.

I remember when this was a good game. This brings back some memories. I quit for good a year and a half ago and added Blizzard to my permanent boycott list over 6 months ago, so I won't be playing it again, but it was nice to hear some music from the good times I had.

I think Jeremy Soule is the single reason this is the most atmospheric expansion.

I strongly disagree. Soule's pieces were easily the musically weakest parts of this expansion. All of the most immersive and impactful music in this expansion was composed by Russel Brower, Sam Cardon (who wrote the freaking epic piece at 2:05), Neal Acree, and Edo Guidotti. I know this because I have the direct audio rips from the game, which included the ID3 data for who composed what. I think this expansion is a prime example of why I feel Soule is overrated.

Ozan Young Note the word atmospheric. Not epic. I don’t think I would classify most of Skyrim’s, Oblivion’s, or Morrowind’s music as epic and in general I think the tracks that are epic are mostly average compared to other epic music from other composers. Take for example the song Serpent’s Heart which was composed totally by Soule. It’s one of my favorites from the expansion and sounds distinctly like Jeremy Souls other work notable Oblivion. Soule may indeed be overrated but that may just be because of your taste in music. By the way thanks for the info, as I have been very curious for a while as to who composed 2:05 and I was pretty sure it wasn’t Soule.

Every Soundtrack is a Lore-orientated Tribut to a Faction or/and a Content inside the Game. There are Soundtracks to the Cultures living on Pandaria, as well as to the Way of the Monk-Class, - for Characters... ... everything has it's own Atmosphere, deserving a own Music for itself. I hope this helped you a little bit. ; 3 edit: Oh' ... and " Ost " is something that means " Soundtrack ", something that is a bit more known in the Anime- and Manga- Domain.
