If u want to know more abt moonbyul as a soloist, check out her new album, starlight of muse. Its a diverse genre album, meant to show ppl abt her (musical taste n artistry). It got rock, rnb, hiphop, rap, ballad, funk ( this song). Basically all genres she has done; albeit not all in one sitting like this album. Dark romance would be a good song from the album if u want to hear her rap. As for the group, like evry1 said killing voice would be a good start.

I can NEVER declare my love for Moon Byul to a "satisfactory" degree. She's not just like my favourite idol. She's like one of my favourite human beings. All these other female idols SWOON over her because she is apparently THE most considerate person that all of them meet. There's even multiple videos that Moon Byul just comes back out to her fans in the cold and brings like coffee or cold drinks in the heat and hands them out it's absolutely wonderful. When you get into Mamamoo... I don't know if anyone has more unique adlibs in their music than Moonbyul she just throws in whatever at whatever performance Mamamoo is always a unique performance.

I’m excited for you to see MMM as a whole group. One of the reasons I love them is that all four have their own style and sound, but they still compliment each other so well.

I'm also excited for it lol. I know it works but I can't imagine **how** it works for these different voices to play off each other. I'm really looking forward to finding out! I'm thinking next week after this Twice comeback I'll have some time to devote to the MAMAMOO Killing Voice and we'll work from there!!

Its so rare to find someone that first knows Moonbyul as a singer first, she will be really happy to know this because she knows she is a good rapper but she has always wanted to be recognized more as a singer. She excels at both singing and rapping and she is Mamamoo's main rapper (not lead, there is no lead rapper although Hwasa could be considered the lead). I am happy you noticed her footwork. That is her biggest strength when she dances. She always enjoys her stage. Please check out her whole album. Love your reaction video

Thank you! I am seeing a lot of people surprised I know her as a singer first, I guess this is just a unique time to be exploring her/Mamamoo with the timing of her comeback! I'm very excited to check out their killing voice and finally see how Hwasa When In and Moon Byul sound together being so different. I know there is Solar too as well so yeah very exciting!

Wow, I'm used to seeing Hwasa solo work lead reactors to Mamamoo but it's so neat seeing how you've seen all/almost all of the girls as soloists first before even touching their group work! I guess we really are in that era of their career now :'D This group of girls is basically a pile of puppies who adore each other to eternity and aren't afraid to be shamelessly goofy even if they feel embarrassed at themselves later. It's why they work so well together, aside from their skills&talents as performers. In their own words, it's extremely rare to find colleagues whom you work with that you can empathize with so well and connect with in such a solid manner in life. Their bond as members is really special, even to people observing them. I hope they bring you joy and sunshine when you watch them as they've done for us!

I'm commenting again because I was halfway through the video the first time. When you listen to mamamoo as a group you won't understand how 4 women with incredible but very different voices and styles sound so good. That is the main magic of mamamoo, how well they complement each other musically and the chemistry they have as people, said by themselves, they work together but that does not mean that they are family and that half of their lives are full of common memories. They also once said that what the members mean in their lives is not comparable to anyone else. This group really loves each other and that love works very well musically as well.

The MAMAMOO Killing Voice is a must, of course, but great solo Moonbyul with rap verses can be found in her EP "6equence" from a few years back. 6equence is real fun and has a few guest singers: "G999" has a 90s hip-hop vibe with Mirani as a guest; "Shutdown" is a LGBT anthem with Seori as an awesome vocalist on the chorus; and let's not forget the title track, "Lunatic". Finally, as a Red Velvet fan, you'll probably love "Selfish" with Seulgi (this might not be in 6equence but it's still gud).

This is new. You first heard Moonbyul as a singer instead of a rapper. Looking forward to your killing voice reaction. BTW Mamamoo is the 1st group who do the Killing Voice. I just want to suggest, Since you already know the 3 members as a soloist. Maybe you react first to Solar with her latest song, Love was Gone, released just last month. It will be great, you listen to all the members first as as soloist and then experience them as a group.

You really have to react to her songs Eclipce, Moon Movie, and the intro of this new album to start getting the idea of rapper Moon. Likewise with Mamamoo's entire discography since her ability to write and rap in any genre of music is why she is considered one of the best female rappers of her generation and in general. For now I wait your reaction to the kiling voice, there you will have a sample of her rap but it is only the surface of what she can do.

Another great song by the lovely Moon Byul, loved the whole concept of her solo album Starlit of Muse, if you have the chance to see her other video or even better, listen to the whole thing since it's now out, I'm sure you'll love it! Can't wait for you to react to the Killing Voice but Mamamoo has been around for so long and their style has varied a lot since their debut... I don't even know what to suggest other than a deep dive some day, there's just so much to cover!

While in mamamoo, moonbyul majority part is rap... I told you, she is one of the best female rapper... And i agree about her tone, that's her weapon, she has rich tone that other don't have...

@@ChainReactionsChannel She's very genuine, she struggled a lot fitting in with what the company was wanting for Mamamoo's concept and look in the early days when a sweeter, girlier vibe was more the norm for girl groups. But she stuck to her own vision of how she wanted to present herself, and her fellow members are all strong individuals who don't try to conform to what the industry tries to box them into either so aside from being absolutely incredible talents, they are genuine badasses too. The swagger is real.

Mamamoo debuted in 2014, so there is a lot to their catalogue. They have also had fairly productive solo careers, but we’ll leave that discussion for another day. Their name is reportedly based on some of the first sounds a baby will make, which is your first hint as to their sense of humour. The fandom is called MooMoo(s). Moo is obviously the last syllable of their name, and also means radish (or what we would call a turnip.) moomoo’s are sometimes literally called ‘radishes’ and their lightstick (Moobong) resembles a radish/turnip. I know a MooMoo or two and may be a MooMoo too. (So might you be by the end of your journey) The group is attached to a much smaller house than some others so they have had a lot of freedom (or lack of attention) that has allowed them to explore and flourish. Early on they reputedly did their own choreography, due to lack of funds, but this allowed them to keep it simple to support their singing. The group is fantastic live, and has done a LOT of shows, but their music videos are so damn good, typically, so I’ll mainly focus on those in the list. Quick member list: Solar (b. 91) Leader, Vocalist (which is a sad and paltry term for what she does) Feb 21 is her birthday, so I guess I’m doing this for her. She is good friends with Irene from Red Velvet Moonbyul (b. 92) “Rapper, Performer” You already know she has a good singing voice but she is a distinctly gifted rapper and contributes heavily to their song lyrics. The webpage I am reading says she is credited for over 98 songs (not sure if that’s lyrics only or composition but impressive either way.) She is very close to Seulgi of Red Velvet Wheein (b. 95) “Vocalist, Performer” (I need to get a new source for member info!) She has been friends with Hwasa since middle school. She and Solar confuse the hell out of me in the early days because they seem to trade hair colours and styles Hwasa (b. 95) “Vocalist, Rapper, Maknae” (well that makes her sound a little…boring? She is anything but) Hwasa paints with bold strokes and, of course, everyone has their own bias and with Mamamoo it is totally fine to be OT4 but I think Hwasa climbs to another tier altogether. She has done some very distinctive solo and collab work so if you find you fancy her, we can pull that list together.

Mr. Ambiguous (2014) This was the official debut video from Hello and in Korean I think it was a play on the group name. It also introduced a moustache gag/trope/meme (idk, help me here) that was a signature for a couple of years. This song is obviously older but has so many elements that reappear in their later releases and I think it ages pretty damn well. Why are you still reading? If you haven’t already watched that medley, buckle up because this is super-group level stuff. If you already saw the medley then you’ll be excited because this is just more. Things level up a bit down below. Starry Night (2018) Is a Latin-influenced ballad that is so perfectly suited to the group it’s insane. And then with a music video shot entirely (and artistically) in New Zealand the impact of this song is huge. Moonbyul is on the writing team of course but so many other hands contributed to make this magic. The song is upbeat and fantastic and the MV is visually stunning, with a creatively layered underpinning that still occupies part of my brain rent free (like I could describe the concept in one phrase but I couldn’t write and accurate essay about it.) I couldn't help but want to recommend all of their It's Live performances, both group and solo. The It's Live full concert during their Illella era is especially fun!
