Man, I think you're giving a really fair assessment here... and I REALLY appreciate you've adjusted your comments accordingly but I also really think you've been speaking the truth out there and shouldn't be afraid of it. Being honest comes with its share of "haters", always has, always will. Thanks for this!

I appreciate, thank you so much! But I think people didn't understand one thing though. Me being disappointed does not in any way alter my judgment on these rounds. I'm still disappointed to see Kristof and KBA using those second devices and not using the MKII seeing it as a challenge. But that's just my point of view and I have absolutely no rights to judge their decisions. What people did not get was that there is a difference between being disappointed by something and judging someone for doing something.

@@BreZBeatbox understood... I think it's really clear now. You've also made it clear that "beyond the second device", you really enjoy the tracks despite the different styles. One thing to note though, not sure if you saw Sxin's comment about why he dropped - if the mkII is still buggy, maybe it's a reason why they are relying on their second device as much. Food for thought :)

@@vizz2905 Definately ! KBA's round for example was a really enjoyable round for me, I listened to it a few times. He's using a second device but I don't care about it, for me it's about music. Rules are just not made correctly in my opinion, but loopers do what they want as long as they follow the rules ! I know about the bugs too because I speak with Robin about it quite often. I've seen, tried, understood the machine. Robin gives me great feedback about it, it really helps me to understand. But I also see that if you really want to, you can use the machine. Bugs happen once in a while, but the advantage of the Kickback is that you can do your rounds 100 times if you want, until you have the right take. From what I've seen with Mirsa, M-Age, Josh-O, Robin, PSn, they've had at least one good take with it. :).

Thank you for the reaction as always! To clarify, a lot of my buildup is automated, in my opinion this is one of the benefits of the Sy, in that although there isn’t as many buttons as for example the helix, but you can program each of your effects to do more! And big up to Kristof, he absolutely smashed this one!

I loved Kristof's round but my only complaint is that the last drop could be shorter and could have ended the round better with the trap thing he made in the beginning, this would have made it a perfect track for me. But still, 1st place for me.

I thought Kristof made one of the best dubstep tracks of all time for this seeding round. KBA while good definitely came second with another classic DnB track. I think KBA is saving his non-DnB tracks for the actual battles so that the drops will hit harder against his opponents

I’d love to see a future where loopstation becomes more focused on music than beatbox. Yes there will be a lot that disagree with me, but just look at these two artists plus guys like Dice, Oxygenic, Inkie, etc! It become like real EDM festival concerts !

I agree with you, and believe there should be a split. Loop Beatbox and Loop Freestyle, or Loop Whatever...both styles are valid, both are enjoyable in their own ways. I like single-device stuff, AND I like extra-device stuff...the dynamism is the key either way.

My Ranking: 1.Mir-Sa 2.Kristof 3.Josh O 4.Robin 5.KBA 6.Frosty 7.M Age 8.PSN I did not rank Mir Sa first because he gave us information , I ranked him first cuz I found his round the most enjoyable , and the drop he did when he had 56 seconds left was INSANE I put Mir Sa above kristof because I enjoyed the structure of Mir sas more , but kristof was still sick. M Ages style is repititive , but I found the melody to be more interesting than Frosty's. Some might say that Robins was the weakest , I wouldn't say that , he didn't really include a drop but his style is just amazing! I put psn last cuz his seeding round was kind of dissapointing imo ngl. I decided to put josh o above kba and robin , because josh o did something different with his style which I enjoyed. I put robin above kba cuz I enjoy robins aesthetic more. I put frosty above m age cuz m age is getting repetitive while frosty is doing something new.

For me Number 1 is Robin and Number 2 is Mirsa. Idk why, but I can’t accept second device. Rounds with only rc505 are much more exciting for me. That is why my reaction at 6:13 was the same as BreZ’s

@Phan Tấn Khoa ya but it sounds better as a song when you use the second device. If they are too harsh with it like frosty's, it can sound jarring. But with someone like KBA, his track was a nice full song and it wasnt too sudden

Also Brez I talked to a couple of the kbb competitors and all said that the new loop has a good bit of bugs so maybe that is why they've been using there second devices more

Yeah I tried the loop too, got some bugs but nothing stopping it from being used fortunately. Loop at Mirsa, Josh-O, PSn, Robin, M-Age. They did just fine ! :D

The only things I didn't like about KBA's round was the singing and the first "drop" The singing feels s little bit monotonous, and for the end it's in a lower volume than the music And the first drop feels more like an "anti-drop", like Madox said, feels ambiguous But it's actually pretty sick tho

For me M-Age is at least better than KBA when not even as Kristof because I liked the atmosphere in that one much more than Kristofs and the Hollow Clop-Hi Hat of KBA kinda ruined it for me

What’s the problem about automation? If the new “superMidi” on mk2 is about automate things… it will be the trend then? Seriously, stop limiting yourselves… I’m seen amazing musical talent and just limit that due “loopers dogma” or “beatboxing dogma”… mmmm again, there could be just one champion but if these guys build a repertory they could be gigging around the world like dubfx… or Kid beyond who was doing THIS around 2002 (afair) with Ableton Live. Keep your mind open and just flow…

I'm totally cool with that. You don't get my point I reckon. I love second devices. I want clear rules in battles though. With equity and fairness. Many people can't afford à 1600 euro Line 6 you know. In 2015 I asked if I could use a second device for GBB. I was told "No it would not be fair, it's a competition". 6 years later I understand they were right. Being a looper and taking part, I know a bit about looping and battles now. I just want a fair competition. You want entertainment. It would be entertaining to have a football game 8 VS 12 players, but would it be fair ? Opening a mind goes both thinking as a spectator and a competitor and judge. ;)
