The bottom of your boat would have to be 3 ft deep in the water because the prop and the pedals are at the same height. That prop is huge and it would need to be under the water quite a bit. to keep the straight angle would be almost impossible to get that low in the boat

Angle grinder gears are to small and closely meshed the torque alone going through water would wear it down fast at the very least,good one though you inspire me to get back in the shed👍

good idea for small boats , i'm looking for light weight prototype for swimmer and diver ... your idea is great if i was you i will integrate all bicycle parts for shifting for more speed ... kep going you are in the right path i wish you good luck 100 comments for this idea is but motivation but don't do it for the views do it cause you wanna done it

Posisi baling-baling kalau lebih rendah dari pedal mungkin lebih pas. Gearbox sama baling-baling terlalu jauh jadinya goyang. Good luck 👍

C'est bien bon mais ,quand le conducteur est fatigué. Il es obligé de soulever les mains ou les pieds . Puisque le petit pignon de la tête de meuleuse n'a pas de point mort . C'est à dire en pédalant en arrières les dents n'attaque pas.

Use bushing between the inner bearing rings over the shaft on the inside for support or you will wear out the bearings real quick because of sideways tension from the nuts.
