I sincerely love and appreciate that you guys are still following Rens music. Not only are you my favorite reactors but Ren is my favorite artist. He is a god send, whether he knows it or not, to so many people. I see that all of his fans have found him when they needed him the most. I found Hi Ren when I was feeling the most lost I had ever felt in 44 years. As I went down the rabbit hole, I discovered just how similar our paths were, minus the excelling music career. I’ve been struggling with a mystery illness that doctors said the same thing. Finally, after years of misdiagnosis….And finding a doctor to actually listen to, they found lesions on my ocular nerves and brain. He is an inspiration for so many reasons, and I believe they need to make a movie about his life and what he has been through and what he has overcome and still persists.

You mentioned the cool "plucking" sound. Ren has a video on his Patreon account which shows how he created that. Basically he took the Vera Hall vocal sample, added a tuner to it so that it followed his chord changes, then added a filter that just picked up the highest peaks/notes. The result is that cool plucking synth sound. Yet more proof that the guy is a freaking genius !

That "plucky" sound is actually the sample "trouble so hard" lyric synthed out. A tuner and a filter so only little moments come thru. Basically ren just going mad scientist on a sample and coming up with a ridiculously catchy sound

Parts of this song just make your gut hurt to hear and brought tears to my eyes. But I smiled so big when he threw out his arms talking about beauty and the gift of gold. I thought that would be the highlight and then he began the "Lord I forgive you" through "yours to hold" that hit even harder and made me happy in the same way when NF said "Mama, I forgive you" Ren deserves all the wonderful things that have been happening. I really hope his health continues to improve. I also hope this video will bring a lot of attention to the health struggles of all those suffering daily and feel forgotten or ignored.

It is a difficult and wonderful song to hear ! I feel more and understand more every time I listen to it. The phrase that hit my heart is the teeth and the relief of cold steel, Just the expression on his face makes it very real. So much pain with no wound no visible cause. But if you created the wound that would be affirming of the pain ! Breaks my heart ! And funny my heart has to go out to his mother and Sister to. I can not Imagine my child enduring all Ren has went through. Being a single farther of 2 I had non of these issues just the ones that 2 teenage girls brought !! I could really see the emotions (and maybe even past pain/hurt) get to Eric near the end - right when the ‘Lord I forgive you’ part hit. You could see it in his eyes and feel it by the need to curb the emotions with some help from Thor’s Get-Hammered😂 Seemed like a much needed swallow in that moment. But just know that it’s a Superhero kind of thing to be able to allow those emotions to come through. There’s no shame in it, at all. Enjoyed the reaction and seeing you guys appreciate that this isn’t just music… it’s therapy, it’s a vital message, it’s much needed awareness, and it’s a lifeline for many who struggle and are looking for hope and a way to hold on (like ‘the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope’). Yeah Ren been dropping these "Chapters" (Missing) on his channels... RenMakesStuff.... about his life and everything. That cutting a hole in his chest was a legit thing he did. Chronic illness here & doctor to doctor is no lie. Still trying to get appropriate treatment. The only good thing has been my ability to advocate for my child. I get ignored & passed around (genetic connective tissue disorder & MCAS) but they listen to me about my child (she’s 12 with the same disorder & POTS).
