Thank you! The key with them is to learn when to use AP or HE; take a look at the Nelson guide for an idea of what I mean.

Just picked up the black Gascogne from the shipyard, and it seems like quite a fun ship. Seems more like a battle cruiser than a BB, and while it doesn’t have the armour or health pool for sustained brawling the rapid reload lets you do quite a bit of burst damage.

It is a fun ship! Just overshadowed by Champagne and Richelieu. The shipyard deal is pretty good in my opinion.

I didnt like it at first, then got to know it and although I still think it’s too situational there’s a lot of fun when you get it right.

Still like Roma better for precise aiming and rapid reloads, although better AA is a nice to have feature.

Roma will remain king of damage, but I wouldnt be surprised to see this one paired with it in competitive. They complement well.

If they go back to the old UI I’ll start playing this again. It’s ruined with the latest update.
