@@deathfromabove432 The Saipan you battled with was a good player indeed. When fighters are placed a few km in front of, there's very little to do other than playing as a cruiser sending your squadrons for very short distances "coup-de-mains"

Yes Ira, he can't be protecting/guiding all of his 4 squadrons all the time, on top of protecting his teammates, and that's what you need to take advantage of. Notice how I am not sending my bombers until it's 100% safe, because I want to focus on my fighters/his planes until I set the dynamic in motion. Simply put, I'm managing 1 squadron while he's managing 4, until I get the upper hand.

No, Graf still tops it in terms of damage potential, esp when you take the guns into account. Saipan is exceptionally good at taking out dds and planes, a real nightmare but I stand by my judgment: it’s less viable in solo as it is unable to survive on its own… and it tops skirmish for that exact reason.

And why do you suppose that is? This isnt just DFA fighting potatoes. He’s exploiting the fact that attention is a limited resource. When Saipan is trying to line up a torp strike, he’s not paying attention to what his fighters are doing. If he’s trying to shoot your planes down with his fighters, he’s not protecting his own fleet.

The players you saw are far from being potatoes; I'm pretty sure you would be very happy with their stats and I'm not particularly excited to see them on the opposing team. But the truth is that the Saipan is not an easy ship to play! It requires a lot of micro management, which you HAVE to exploit in order to do well. Elite Saipan players will know that and only use a limited amount of planes until they got it under control. But those guys will trash you in a Ranger if they want to, let alone in a Saipan. In part II, you will get a gameplay against a Saipan player with a 90%WR, 60% MVP rate and a destruction ratio of 35 (!). I hope it will enough, because I probably won't find any better.

@@ZeraSeraphim not all are skilled or potatoes. There are between too. I didnt told they were potatoes. How can you not pay attention to fighters if fighters are all in this CV. This means no skill in saipan.
