Manushyaputhiran is a Tamil poet, writer, lyricist, and publisher (Uyirmmai publication). In the early 80s, he started his literary career at the age of 16 and his poems are published in popular Tamil magazines such as Kumudam, Ananda Vikatan, Kalki, and Kalachuvadu. Some of his notable works are Pasitha Pozhuthu, Adheethathin Rusi, Oozhiyin Thinangal, Anniya Nilaththin Pen, and Neeralaanadhu. He was awarded Sanskrithi Sammaan in 2002 by the Indian Government for his outstanding contribution to Tamil literature as a young writer.
