The user interface on this is absolutely outstanding. It’s better than any slider editor I have ever used and I hope they add all the missing features to match all the best sliders out there soon. The key requirement for me is the ability to publish and unpublish sliders automatically by date and time. thanks for the outstanding review - I’ll definitely have to try this one!

Well you had me at go... having viewed the slider rev vids, and then when you hit the 'undo' button' I was all in! (old paintshop pro user) haven't found one on Elementor yet , but darn sure need one if it has it. Subscribed. Bought a lot of software , theme, Elementor Pro, etc, but finding I should be able to build my site with mostly free , like this one. Live and learn 67 , still learnin'

After this excellent review I wonder why I was trying to remove this amazing plugin. Another thing I have suddenly in mind is that I don't like when usefull stuff is completly free. Please guys, don't start shouting at me! A small contribution from all would most likely speed up the addition of new features (hiring more developers?). Thank you once more, Paul for this review.

Hi, well we used our experience to make a product that works for the users not what we think is good for users, we have 3 slider plugins before Depicter and one of them you may know is Master Slider, about why this is free I would like to say there is going to be a pro version available soon which that has more pro features

This is the way I want to build entire websites, as if I were working in Figma with the guides and drag n drop, but inside WordPress. The page builder NicePage attempted something like this, but couldn't pull off the speed or elegance. Can't wait to start playing with this one.

Looks a very creative and innovative slider. I am not a big fan of sliders, but if you have to use one plugin, I'd go with Depicter. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Such a great one @paul. At our agency, we extensively use slider rev. which is notoriously bad when it comes to user friendly aspect of it. And of course, Depicter can be a great alternative as it's being free. However, having support to lottie files, custom icon libs etc. could be great addition which will put this on the competitive edge. Cheers 🍻

Agreed! It looks relatively early days for the plugin and the devs seem open and responsive to ideas, suggestions and feedback. Hopefully, these things will come soon. :)

The tool is great made, but I wonder if the trend is not more and more towards a full-page experience, i.e. revealing, moving, fading content during the entire scrolling from start to finish? Especially with the increased use of mobile devices (= portrait mode). Optimizing complex slider content isn't easy for all devices and especially not for the header in terms of loading speed, so I think I would rather use it inside the page for very special presentations. Hate to be a party killer, but most countries have laws in place that requires websites to be accessible - to everyone. Judging my the few templates I tried, Depicter does have some issues with accessibility. Just something to be aware of. It looks pretty fancy, I have to admit that.

It is easy to solve this "problem." You can always have a simplified version of the whole website for people with special needs, or you can use a dedicated plugin.

@@tom4398 US, EU, UK, Canada, Australia. Many countries have laws in place that requires websites to be accessible to all. Most aim at WCAG 2.1 AA for now.

hi paul, you are a respectful, smart and Trusted man in wordpress community i have a big old problem when i wanna do advanced things in wordpress, i need you to help me and many others like me to solve it there are many new plugins out there which do amazing job but i can not trust a plugin with 10 k installations and 2 years experience like jet form builer, acf frontend form and etc(who knows if they will survive). i know they're probebly the next big thing in wordpress but right now i can not trust them for the future of my websites please introduce us populer truthworthy and advanced plugins who do the same thing ( specially for advanced front end forms, map front end relationship to backend relationship field and jet engien real and powerful alternative and etc)

My first question is: Does it support a CSS gradient background? All the examples I see use image backgrounds for gradients. I tried to put in a custom CSS background, and it put it over everything else in the slider.

Not a bad plugin. However, this thing probably uses a shit ton of js and can probably tank your page speed insight scores. Any try with psi?

I just added the slider to site I have with Bricks builder and it brought the score down only slightly. I had 87 mobile score on Google page speed insights and now down to 84. Not bad. Still have A grade on gtmetrix. Not sure how it would score on an Elementor site tho

We do care about the performance too much, Depicter has been developed with react and still there are some thing in our to-do list to improve the performance better and better, right now the slide 1 animation duration also is a factor to get a better performance so try to work with them and make them shorter if you did not get the performance you want. Which I have to say the animation duration should not effect on performance but right now tools to measure the performance cannot handle that, so it is a bug on those tools, but if you want you can make them shorter, just to let you know ;)

Can I use this inside Bricks Builder, pulling data from CPT and ACF? I’m designing a website that need something similar and I plan to build it with Bricks Builder, and this plugin would be really handy. Otherwise I think I can get away with Motion Page, but it would definitely require more time

That is really impressive. In the future they should add a full layout with this but make that their premium feature maybe. Crazy that this is FREE! - Are the stock photos a completely free license? That would be a concern lol but I guess it's all ok?

What a fantastic find, Paul, great video, and kudos to @Depicter for the functionality in the free version (btw, they now have Pro and Agency packages ... e.g. enhanced data sources, with 40% off for Cyber Monday). Two questions: (1) If Depicter is all 'standard code' i.e. HTML5/CSS, could Elementor theoretically do all of this, time permitting? (2) If the slider runs from a shortcode, could the slider appear in an Elementor popup or even an off-screen canvas? I'm thinking snazzy forms and menus.

Well, it seems a nice slider whoever introduced. But after its activation its immediately started popup error 403 which is very annoying because its popup nonstop. I think its happening because WordPress never ever sell anything for 100% free. & this plugin is not available in WordPress. It has to popup error for sure, because who is gonna buy WordPress plugins if this amazing plugin available for free. All the functions you operated sir, it cannot be saved & go in preview because the 403 keep popup like pain in the **s of WordPress. 😄 But i like your channel because i have learn many things from you. Thank you Sir. Plz keep giving us new info about the new apps which we can use to improve our websites performance.

Strangely im getting a server error 500 when trying to import templates even after upping the wp memory to 2048mb. Ive contacted support which said they normally take a few hours and its been several so far..hopefully will he resolved tomorrow...

Got a question... Can Depictor be used to edit Slider revolution templates? or is it propriatary to Depicter onlY?..... or better yet, Is there a vast slider template library out there (paid or free) that can be viewed to find cool and unique sliders (all kinds- slide up , down, side to side, fade, etc)

It should work with any page builder or block tool as it's independent of those and just use a shortcode or dedicated widget to insert it into the design.

Hi if you are using localhost it may happen but we are working on this while you can simply use a live website and it should be working fine there. We are working to find the issue that may happen on a few localhost situations as well

Thanks for your video and really nice briefing, but I have facing problem in Depicter, while using pre-template and edit then publish its showing Error Request Status 403 and not publish even try on different pre-templates and saving instead if I'm using blank slides then no problem. So, end result uninstalled and deactivated Depicter Plugin.

@@depicterApp Dear Team, Even I sent feedback through dashboard but not responding. OK I will try again one more time install Depicter plugin to check and make video if any error showing will send to your HELP desk.

Hi, it would be great if you can send us an email about your issue to help@depicter.com, it should not be glitchy and if on your side it is, we can help you fix it, or at least if there is a bug in a certain situation we can find it and fix it in our updates. So please help us and contact us about your issue, if it is possible for you
