8.7 rebalance overall was great, one of the best rebalances over the course of years perhaps. However not including toxic family weapons in the buff list was disappointing in my opinion. These were already underperforming weapons due to shield and healing meta and now they are even weaker relative to other weapons. On the other hand though I must say I am very happy about the flamethrower buff which made them a great tier 3 value items.

For fast bots i chose bane but for slow bots i choose ember

Thanks! Great Erebus build I have never had much luck like you had running it. I don’t have the speed skill set up like that I have more damage skills set. And thanks for comparing weapons as always great info

The only advantage over the ember that the bane has is I think it's easier to hit moving targets, the acid sprays faster than the ember flames

Also DoT helps against defence systems as it bypasses resistances and Forcefields completely. This is particularly useful against Skyros and Seraph.

I've always liked flamethrowers from the first time I used them, however, like Bane the flames should've been given a small amount of DOT. I agree that Toxic weapons should be given a buff both in DOT and damage output.

But to the corrosion effect, not to the base damage. These weapons should be dealing crazy corrosion damage.

They are similar. Ember does more towards slow enemies with shotguns, but bane is effective against anything with significant defense points. Bane is more effective towards faster moving targets such as a khepri, at the cost of 50m of range. Ember, however, is less expensive to take care of (upgrade). Bane has the advantage of partly ignoring last stand, since all DoT does not account for defense points. However, Bane has one very significant weakness; Aegis shields. Aegis shields are not affected by DoT, making embers better against mars, typhons, erebus, and especially mothership shields. Bane has a 3 second reload with around a 6 second unload time, while Ember has a 5 second reload with around a 10 second unload time.

It cuts through typhon, Cerberus, and maybe Erebus shields. It gets completely stopped by Mars, mothership, and Skyros shields. If the Erebus has shield pilot skills or fortifiers, it also is unbreakable by acid weapons. The Fenrir is tricky, because it lies in the middle.

Definitely im picking Ember First because im used to using flamers Secondly this damage is basically instant, and for the acids to work you have to shoot for 3 seconds And last but not least flamers are MUCH cheaper to upgrade

Toxic weapons are better in my opinion, since the meta is mostly high resistance and fast robots, they out preform the flames due to there fast moving shots

Yo Aygir can you do a Skydriver Nightingale with Skydriver Cryo's and Rime? Since those got buffed the setup may work, idk. Nightingale can fully recharge the weapons while flying

Eu uso um Nightingale com Pulsar e Magnetar, fico mais no suporte em deixar os oponentes para fácil abate, também dar aquela recuperação de HP. Já usei essa configuração de armas criogênicas no passado.

Flame thrower weapons are very slow and hard to hit the target. But the toxic weapons are fast and hit targets better Atleast both weapons should do the same damage

This is just sad🤣🤣bane got a 40% damage blanket buff and ember only got 25% and ember still is outclassing the banes. What makes it more sad is the fa t that dot bypasses resistance and ember still killed the titan faster
