My grandparents started the tradition where every year we would get a new Christmas ornament to put on the tree I would always love it I have started it with my kids because after I grow up and moved out my mom gave me all the old ornaments and I love remembering my grandparents every year I put them on the tree So i buy them for my kids and they love seeing all the ornaments they got and when they move out I'll give them there to put on there own tree

Grandparents are the best!!! My whole family has awesome traditions for every major holiday/occasion. I was super close to my grandpa who just passed away. He took me to my first baseball game, football game, concert, etc. Every Wednesday we would go out to eat together just the 2 of us. My other grandpa used to make/give me all kinds of cool things like coins so I could collect them like he did. Every Christmas I got a new coin in my stocking. He also made me a baseball bat. I would go into the workshop and hang out with him while he worked. He just died too. I am very close to my entire family.

I know a lot of people wrap their presents in one sitting but this year I wrapped them as I got them and it was so helpful.

Wrapping is so therapeutic to me lol I always use to wait till last minute but kids would always find gifts so now I wrap them as I buy 😂

One of my fav family traditions was riding around looking at Christmas lights! We do this now a little but I definitely want to incorporate it as a Christmas family tradition every year!

All these years I never knew there was something behind the box to rip off to stick to the gifts. I just went and rip one off the gift and realize it had a tape on there so all this time I've been adding tape 🤣🤣

👶Happy Thursday! My husband wraps all the gifts; I can't stand to wrap. I only wrap his gifts and he laughs at me every year...and I laugh at me too...Right now, there is no where to walk except between the two ways you can go through the dining room and kitchen back to living room, TO GOD THE GLORY! My husband has always been this way; If there is not over 200 presents under the tree then he has to go get more...if he wants to show his love to the family that way, THEN GO RIGHT AHEAD.. Good wrapping Ash! Your doing a good job. I still have to go out and get my husband's gifts. Lord willing I can do it tomorrow, my two chupin and doxypin, have a fit every time we leave the house, especially when I leave the house and I have to come in through the Garage and up the steps unless I want to be beat up when I come back...LOL, I have to hold my chupin(girl), at least 5 minutes because I left her, then for the rest of the day she is not talking to me turns her head...LOL; doypin(boy), he is the dog with the toy in his mouth, in the house outside the house, all he wants is for you to pet him and love him...SHARED TO THE BURGH!

That’s a great idea! I can’t remember what we did when we were really young, but as we got older my sister and I would have to do one gift each at a time to make it go slower!

One of our family traditions was always riding around looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve. Now we just do it sometime during the week or two before Christmas. Going this weekend. My code for Christmas presents was always the wrapping paper. I would use a different wrapping paper for the different family members, and for different places I was taking them, etc. Happy Holidays!

In my family since i can remember we have taken it in turns opening the presents always starting with me as ive always been the youngest. My uncle and grandad would stay in bed until i had finished as it used to take me a couple hours 😂

This year we did a different paper for each kid, and santa always does brown craft paper with candycane twine. We did the glitter and oats too when I was a kid, so cute. We leave out a couple carrots for the reindeer now

Hey hey!! I hear ya about the wrapping! It takes so long to wrap and make them look pretty (try to in my case haha) but it only takes 5 seconds for them to rip them open! I love seeing the look on their faces when they open their gifts though! Makes it all worth it! My husband and I already wrapped all of the gifts last weekend 😁

We do every kid has a different wrapping paper and there's a small snip of it in the toe of their stocking so they know which one is theirs

When we were little we would make cookies and put milk out for Santa ,we would drink hot cocoa with marshmallows so good, and we would watch Christmas movies, and the morning of Christmas we would open our presents, Tell them Thank you , and then we would eat breakfast, and throw away the paper then take a nap 😅😂🤣, then wake up take a bath, brush teeth, then go outside and play

We wrap the girl's gift in different colors. Harper gets blue and Lily gets red. Santa has white paper with different colored snowflakes. We have done it that way for several years now and we like it 😊
