Love this. Truly love your tutorials. Your humor is enlightening. I have black stones similar to your green one. To make the side twists tight, do the first twist, remove the stone and do the others. Put stone back in and do the same on the other side. This way the stone is not in the way while you're doing your twist. ❤️

Hi, I just found your channel and could not stop watching. I have several pieces of sea glass without holes. Your fun, creative, talking while you work method is very encouraging. The 2 things you said, which are my downfalls are, patience and there is no wrong. I want it to be perfect. So, my christmas gift will be wire and get going... Haa. Your style is beautiful. OK, Matt... I like your style but, I like the other way, too! There is yet another way to do this that involves creating and actually weaving a framing piece then using smaller wire to attach it to the stone, leaving the ends of the woven piece to make the bail and the smaller wire for embellishments. This is what I do. It is a longer, more intricate process but well worth it in the end. For a simple one, I just braid 3 colors together then use a smaller gauge to add loops to the edges of the braid and catch the stone. It kinda looks like a dream catcher if you keep adding loops but comes out beautifully in the end! And, a swirl in the middle of each side looks amazing!

I noticed that you've used both artistic wire and parawire. Which do you prefer and why?
@MattsCrazyArt4 жыл бұрын
Parawire has the best price per foot if you order in bulk and the best selection of colors and styles. But their silver plated wire is sometimes very hard and brittle and other times soft and smooth, so I try other brands to see if anyone has better silver. So far it seems every brand varies from batch to batch, which is super irritating because the smooth batches are 1,000x easier and more enjoyable to work with.

Can I glue. The wires so that my clothing don’t take it apart?
@MattsCrazyArt4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have used E6000 or Super Glue Gel on a lot of pieces to secure them better. I'm trying to stick more to pure wire to hold everything tightly but every once in a while I still use a dab of clear glue.
