Creating the main theme for Wrath of the Righteous wasn't easy and took us a long time. We went through a number of iterations that were quite different from each other, as we strove to align our ideas with those of the development team, before finally settling on the version that you can now hear in the game.
This is the third iteration. As an experiment, we decided to make both parts of second draft of the track even more distinct from each other and replace the crusade in the second part with a depiction of the demonic forces of the Abyss. In the end, this didn't help us solve the problems we had, but it did allow us to get closer to understanding the feel of the music that would play when the game was launched.

This really should be integrated back into the game... it would fit perfectly into some of the Areelu scenes where she confesses more and more about what she has done.. possibly a secondary theme for Angel or the crusaders as well.

Maybe they could do it as part of one of the DLCs.

Woaw. Woaw. I really love the main theme you kept, a lot of time I didn't load my game before listening the end of it, but this one... is absolutely perfect. The rise from start to finish is beautiful. I understand the one you kept did a better job for the launching of the game, when you're in the main menu, but now I'm a little sad you didn't keep the idea of one female voice representing Areelu into the music, because it really adds something to the whole thing. Fantastic OST.

Oh yea the Areelu thing is absolutely perfect... a mother doing unspeakable things to bring back her child and escape the system... it's just a perfect representation.

Now I see what all the draft themes lacked - a powerful marching beat! The drafts could be more melodic, more dramatic and more mesmerizing but the theme you've chosen concludes in an epic choir singing + marching beat. That's exactly when it feels like a true crusade! I'm happy with your choice!

you can hear it at the war camp and in Drezen once it's under the player's control.

Just gorgeous. This certainly has a revelation vibe going to it. This would be a great track during a cutscene or maybe in a non-static main menu system that shows bits and pieces of a story.

Holy crap, this is awesome. Keep these coming, it feels like nearly everything you put into this game is something I wouldnt mind listening to on a daily basis.

I do love all 3 drafts, but i can see why current one was chosen. It seems there was an evolvement of epicenes here.

Once this theme got going it would have fit quite well for a demon mythic path perhaps?

Можно было её добавить в повествование игры, например в воспоминание Арилы Волеш..в тот момент, когда убивают её ребёнка и как она рассказывает, что командор её ребенок которого она возродила.
