Glad to see the car protected the passenger(s) as well as it did!

I've had 5 ranging from 1990-2008. 1998-2002 had those style rim& hubcaps. 2003-2011 those hubs were gone in favor of the much stronger rims you see on the P71. Designed to survive hitting curbs at 40mph without damage. They were used on non-P71 as well. Most civilian CV's received different hubcaps on those stronger rims. I want to say that 2002 was the last year of orange on the taillights. Loved them all, except 1992. Shame that this one took a hit

I think it’s a 98 to 02 model because it has amber turn signals in the back. 2003 and up only uses red
@jacobfountain59868 жыл бұрын
Judging by the amber turn signals and the standard wheel covers it looks to be a 1998 or 99' base model FCV. Also if you peek under the front fascia you'll see a molded in airdam/splash shield with 10 square cutouts for cooling, that also is a give away that it's a 1998 But only some 99' models have that airdam some do not.

Actually my friend that is the 1998-2002 generation style.

Damn, the Vic got hit real hard in the back! Automatically totaled. A real shame, because the Crown looked fresh, otherwise. The way it looked meant it got banged likely by a semi at a pretty good speed. But being body-on-frame, it's no wonder why it mostly stayed intact. A unibody's rear passenger area would fail from such crash. So sad.

It appears to be a civilian model crown vic Because it has a keypad to unlock the doors on the drivers door you can see it at 3:55

Looks like a late 90s(maybe a 98?) My grandma had one. Ironically enough she got hers after she got into a wreck with her Buick Roadmaster(kind of got hit in a similar fashion).

All this Crown Vic requires is a little bondo for that RR fender.

I bet the thing still drives straight as long as you dont need to use the trunk for anything and maybe rigged up a fuel tank Honestly you could probably take a trunk and rear panels from a junkyard crown vic and bolt them on. These things are built like trucks where you can replace panels
@Tomek19855 жыл бұрын
Fuel tank is located under rear seat and its secured from rear impact by rear axle. I'm sure that rear part of frame was also affected by crash

I'm sure the inertia switch was triggered. I'd be willing to bet that if you pushed the reset button in the driver side of the trunk, it would run.
