The odometer in the truck I bought read "ERROR" instead of the mileage . I discharged the capacitors and now it works !! to. y surprise, the truck has less than 100K !! Silverado Sierra Yukon Denali Suburban Avalanche Tahoe

Kenny, I am happy for you. You just taught me something new and technically I have been wrenching for 54 years (I started at 16 and I'm now 70). It just goes to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks! LOL

I've been turning wrenches since I was a kid. At age 9, my dad picked up a gas powered Go-Kart in a million pieces and we put it together. He wasn't a mechanic, but was very mechanically inclined. At age 12, my older cousin had torn apart his Honda 70 Bike and couldn't get it back together. He gave it to me and I was able to get it up & running . From that point I was hooked. At 14 I bought a 69 AMC Javelin and that was my first car after I got it running. Its really all I've done. Although, I may try my hand at writing

Y father in law had a suburban heater n ac control messed up a lot un hook the battery over night it would straighten up

How would you do this on a diesel with two batteries? Have to disconnect them both?

Hi! I have a 2012 gmc sierra 5.3 motor. The truck don't want to start I get out and shake the fusebox a little it starts. Could it be the fusebox are the connections to the fusebox meaning the wires. Once it's running no problem. I just don't know if it will start once I cut the truck off. What do you think might be the problem off the top of your mechanic head?

Definitely sounds like a faulty connection. I would start with checking all the main connections to see if they are good
