I hear what you’re saying but Matt and chyna were very unstable and had a ton of problems outside the ring to the point it would reflect bad on the company. Chyna died from drugs and Matt Hardy has been arrested several times including an arrest for drugs and them getting cheated on just made their actions worse. You’d like to think if they were more put together and emotionally stable they wouldn’t have been let go.

Absolutely agree, I always assumed Hunter and China had broken up before the marriage skit to Stephanie. I knew about her drug and alcohol issues but didn’t know cheating caused it. I was so sad before, but now I’m absolutely heartbroken :( poor poor woman

JR chose not to renew her contract because of hostile work environment and how open she was with her emotions following the split; he alluded to as much on his podcast; he, like everyone else, assumed she'd make it in Hollywood and come back bigger than ever but her demons got the better of her.

As a result, when she asked for SCSA-level pay due to how heavy she had been marketed before the affair became public knowledge, J.R. told her that he couldn't have her paid that amount (even if it was warranted) & she was let go. She started dating Sean Waltman (X-Pac), who introduced her to hard drugs like cocaine & meth, which turned her life into a downward spiral going forward. It almost looked as if she could turn her life around when she showed up at Roddy Piper's funeral, but there was an alleged altercation there between her & the WWE power couple (HHH and Stephanie), with reports persisting that she's claimed HHH committed date rape & struck her whilst they were still together, constantly lambasted Stephanie, and even had issues over the fact that they had 3 daughters together. Add on top of this her adult film career (although, to be fair, The Godfather's in the Hall of Fame & he legitimately operates the Cheeta's Strip Club in Las Vegas, Nevada in real-life, so Chyna's profession outside of wrestling shouldn't have been the excuse HHH gave for the WWE not inducting Chyna whilst she was still alive, yet it was the very thing HHH used when interviewers dogged him about Chyna getting an induction right after news broke that she had passed away).
