Stan Lane was always great at cutting promos...he didn't get much of an opportunity with Cornette managing them but the few times he got on the mic were gold.

Bobby Eaton has always been a man of few words,but one of the best technical wrestlers of all time.

I remember Mick Foley mentioned that Bobby was so sound, so good at executing moves without botches or hurting other wrestlers, that the guys at the looker room used to call him...A NIGHT OFF!!! He was a true technician.

It's truly your loss then. The Midnight Express, The Fantastics and the Rock n' Roll Express were 3 of the greatest Tag Teams ever assembled and some of the greatest matches in Mid-South Wrestling, the NWA and WCW involved these teams. this was one of the greatest Tag Team Rivalries ever.

There are no tag teams today that can come close to what the Midnight Express did in their career.

I'll never forget the first time I heard Bobby talk; it was right after Cornette nailed Baby Doll with a tennis racket. What an amazing angle that was.

Bobby and Dennis are some fun chewing fools , lol. Bobby was never too much on words. He done his talking in the ring

Old school wrestlers were amazing, even Bobby Eaton was a better talker than anyone today.

This promo is far better than most promos in the WWE. I miss the 80s.

Definitely. I never knew cause back in the day Cornette did all the mic work. Stan, Bobby and Dennis rarely spoke during a promo. The guys got mic skills. He should be managing some of the guys today who need the help on the mic.

It would've been better if Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose, Bobby Eaton, and Stan Lane teamed up together. I loved their feud back in the NWA in 1988-1989.

Their feuds with the Rock and Roll Express with Cornette managing them in mid south was awesome. The tennis racket too !!

Gotta say, Stan aint young, but still looking tough and put together...can still work a mic fairly well (always the best talker of anyone in the Midnight Express, even though wasn't required when you had Cornette there).

When I first seen the Midnight Express debut on Mid South , I was mightily impressed with their crisp and precise team work. As well their bad ass mean streak. And of course , Cornette's hilarious vocal skills. One of the greatest tag teams of all time

@allanshawn I saw on a thing about the 4 Horsemen that at the bars and clubs guys used to hang around Ric Flair and the Horsemen just to get "the over flow of women" from them. I think Arn Anderson even said in a promo once years ago "we used to hook the Midnight Express up with the ugly & fat ones we didn't want because they were to goofy to get their own women". Yeah if your right maybe that's why lol.
