WCW Mayhem was released on Playstation 1, N64 and GameBoy Color. Getting released after the incredible AKI WCW games that were released on Nintendo 64, WCW Mayhem had a lot to live up.
The roster was good, featuring guys like Bret Hart, Goldberg, Sting, Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Lex Luger. Mayhem also featured backstage areas for the first time in a 3D wrestling game and also, there was a lot more commentary in WCW Mayhem than other WCW / WWF games that game before it. There was a lot to like about WCW Mayhem but when it came to the actual gameplay and having a wrestling match, it still fell short of it's predecessors such as WCW World Tour and WCW / NWO Revenge.
