This is the story of my wrist RSI and how it was healed through believing in John Sanors theory of Tension Myositis Syndrome. I feel it's my duty to tell my story. And I hope it helps heal other people too.

After a week of using Sarnos technique I’m pretty much 90% healed from all the pain that I’ve been dealing with for months. So thankful to have found videos like this. Very excited to get started on my art again!!

I’ve had an Achilles/ foot injury for almost two years. MRI really showed inconclusive. Now thumb issues. Strange that I was just thinking a month ago that it would be easier to have a hand injury than a foot injury and then a week later the thumb issue started and it has been horrid. The more I do, the better it is. I am just done with it and tired of it and sick of it, as you are saying in your video. The more I move and the more I distract my mind, I feel some improvement. But it’s so hard to wrap one’s head around the theory, even though I’ve known about it for over 20 years. When I had a chronic foot issue back then. I know I can beat this. It’s all about the brain and forcing yourself and just doing what you have to do.❤

Glad to see another musician get it. All of are pain that is chronic is TMS. Seeing sports medicine specials is the wrong direction. We aren’t being tackled or hit, these injuries are all mentally induced.

I suffred from chronic neck pain, had to stop drumming, but thx to John Sarno, can Play again...so I know how it feels like...doing some lousy rehab exercise rather than beating the shit out of the instrument

Wow I came here looking for help & I was a drummer too since I was 5. I haven’t played for almost year now. I had to stop because of carpal tunnel then diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome and even tendonitis. I just found out about this solution today and hope to be healed soon. Any tips or suggestions?

@@RelaxyourmindwithDLR I’m pretty much 90% healed now after realizing the root came from fear, anxiety and tension. I’ve been able to play drums, type and produce music now when I haven’t been able to in almost a year. I never read any of the dr sarno stuff and stopped watching videos like these after my God, Jesus, showed me the answer to being healed. He reminded me that He is the healer and the answer to being delivered from fear and anxiety is His peace. I can’t give no credit to myself but only to Jesus for healing me and showing me how to receive peace and be thankful for everything, literally.

Update: 8 months on, I'm practicing saxophone playing at a rate of 3-4hrs a day along with juggling and all kinds of activities. I'm completely healthy theres no problems at all. Don't waste your time with bullshit exercises and stretches. Realize it's all in your mind. Find your inner strength and your drive and your willpower and work your fucking ass off. It's all good. Boom!

Making brakes is important . I just developed the RSI. And I'm learning voice typing On the phone. Making a break Is important End giving your body Time to heal.

Thank you so much for this! I found it a few weeks ago, looked further, and am experiencing a HUGE reduction in pain already. I am doing things that I haven't done for years and enjoying them. WOW! I thought I was becoming permanently disabled.

I am fairly certain I have tms. I think us people who are soooo passionate about playing music allow the fear of losing the ability to play music in our subconscious create stress and then pain. I’ve been doing OT for two months but after reading up on TMS it’s pretty clear I am a prime candidate for having that. Today is day 2 of this new strategy

I had RSI for two years now. i was a painter but I had to give up on it because the pain was so bad I couldnt even lift my teacup anymore. I mever found out what caused the pain but Exercise has guven me a lot of confort and help. Even if I had to give something up im glad I can use my hands again and hope to make a full recovery in the next year. So maybe its in the head but maybe exercise helps I dont know. Good luck everybody strugggeling with this!

@@marcusaurelius2242 Repetitive strain injury. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a version of it, also tenosynovitis.

This happens with me with my drumming I get it in my legs and I feel like I can’t play anymore, you can’t baby the pain , you have to use it and know that’s you’re safe and it’s just phycosomatic

Love ya! Last year I had to stop drawing due to tendon pain alongside the figners and wrist. PT told me the only way out is strengthening the wrist as much as possible. So wrist curls, finger extensions, squish ball. I used rubberband to strengthen my wrist for 3 months, it healed something but not enough resistance. Now I do wrist curls with 4kg dumbells.

@@412JFury I dont workout anymore. I just learned to draw with both hands. Also the injured hand behaves great when I warm up well. I have no problems.

@@krasenmaximov8110 how long did it take you to get to where you can do things again with your hands? I'm still suffering an even worse a year later and after having surgery for cubital tunnel in my dominant arm.

@@412JFury Im sorry to hear that. We have different roads to healing. I recall around 6 months. Learning to draw with my right hand alleviated most of the psychological stress. I was very depressed. After that I learned how to use my left hand without injuring it. I warm up the wrists for 7-10 minutes before work, and If I feel inflamation happening while working, I ice it with icebag, then switch to righhand. After couple hours of drawing left hand is nicely lubricated and warmed up so I can work longer without discomfort. I believe its important detail that Im not afraid of reinjuring, at all. It wont put me out of work anymore.

I’m really happy for your recovery. But I’m still skeptical that the pain isn’t “real” and that it’s in the mind. I’m similar to you that I have a passion in drawing. The pain is still persisting and I don’t want to risk ruining my arm further. Many people have said a similar story, but I want to know what was the point you pushed through that? I understand you said you did exercise but I still need to know.

So some time has passed and my wrist pain has indeed gone! Unsure if it’s due to sarno’s techniques, my physical exercise or a mix of both. I’ve definitely been trying to keep my stress levels down which has helped.

The key is balls. You have to decide that your passion is the most important thing and in your mind you're willing to risk everything to be allowed to do it. So don't fear. Be a warrior and do what you want to do.

@@arianamontenegro5528 Thanks, so it's been a few months now, and for most of that time I've had no pain. But I did have to go through some emotional stuff for a short time. But now I am knitting and sewing and gardening, and all sorts of stuff. When the pain starts, I talk back to it and it doesn't stay long.

@@ruthfarcas9556 well, it seems you are still afraid of pain in getting back. The trick is that your mind needs to understand that the pain you once had is gone and will come back if you really have an accidental as normal. Not by just doing regular stuff . For this to happen, you need to keep ignoring and time will heal your mind and your pain 🤗

@@diaduarte9969 in all honesty,better! It’s not gone and I don’t think it ever will but I was scared to workout bc it hurt but I told myself that it would, but I posted my workout progress on tiktok to keep myself accountable and it’s helped. I’m able to manage the pain a little better. I don’t think my pain will ever leave but I can manage it a little better.

@@Truerealism747 try to do things that push your “limit” like for me it was doing yoga poses that I was afraid of doing because of the fear that I would hurt myself. Not true, I kept doing them and within a matter of a week I felt so much better. It’s the mindset switch, mind-body exercises or meditations are key!
