The WGA thinks this is a great win for them and their members. Since it's a pretty huge contract (over 80 pages) the members will probably only look at 7 to 10 pages but not bother to compare it to the original demands or the first offer that was refused on their behalf months ago. I'm sure they will believe the WGA when they are told what a great contract it is.

Yes, I'm for the WRITERS, but I'm also for the THEATER WORKERS! Strikers, also mention that theater workers who sell the tickets, get the lowest wages and benefits allowed by law Musicians join them! Three Labels, the Big Three Labels control music, and no hits, no new stars, loss of sales. 1% of musicians make 90% of streaming money. Look at connections to film. Warner, Universal, Sony. Have you ever read a story on low wages that mentioned Theater Workers - and by doing so anger Hollywood that brags about how many millions they made this weekend? Me neither. they should. They are forced to work part-time so they're paid the lowest wages and benefits allowed by law. Hollywood looks glamorous but they are just as bad as Walmart or fast food, and the media is scared to talk about it.

@@mxfg1535 Yes absolutely. They control every career and even if you start making money they will: buy you out, sue you, sign you and bury you for years, etc. They can't find a hit, so they make money suing! That's why I wrote ... Musicians, NOTHING WORKS NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! Musicians give me your best case scenario for success that you can imagine - as if everything works out perfectly for you. Then I will show you how The Big Three Labels, Warner, Universal, Sony, that control the entire industry; will ruin it for you! WANT PROOF? There is no new types of music or new musicians on the charts and radio each week. No one-hit wonders, no variety, no regional hits, no instrumentals, no protest songs, no crossover hits , nothing new! Join the music revolution against them. Start your real career by sharing this! Let me start with these: Win a national song contest. Have thousands follow you on Spotify. Have thousands follow you on KZfaq. Have thousands follow you on TikTok Have thousands follow you on Facebook Have successful recordings on an indie label. Have success on Patreon. Win a grammy Sign with the Big Three Labels Have success on SoundCloud, ReverbNation, BandCamp. Tour, sell cd's, sell t-shirts.

@@mxfg1535 Joni Michel said it well; I heard someone from the music business saying they are no longer looking for talent, they want people with a certain look and a willingness to cooperate. I thought, that’s interesting, because I believe a total unwillingness to cooperate is what is necessary to be an artist - not for perverse reasons, but to protect your vision. The considerations of a corporation, especially now, have nothing to do with art or music. That’s why I spend my time now painting.”

@@nightfall902 You may be unaware of this so I'll fill you in, at the start of the project a script gets chosen by a director and producer that they think would make a good/money-making movie. After the script has been chosen the director can do literally whatever he or she wants to the script while it is being made. While this is happening screenwriters just have to watch helplessly as their scripts are destroyed and turned into just another boring movie, when their ideas may have been original or creative. This only happens in some cases, but it can happen and it is a problem

@@nightfall902, I have other original pieces, however I wrote those films as a showcase of what kind of films that I can produce. I have a working story & script called QUEEN OF THE LILIES, starring Naomi Ackie and Idris Elba. The movie takes place during 2025 B.C., Middle Kingdom Egypt. The story follows a perfume and ointment maker who is on a journey to deliver ritual aromatics and oils used in mummification. Her protector, as their caravan crosses wild river and wilder land, is played by Idris Elba. Using next generation 4DX/5DX theater technology, the actual smells of the natural perfumes and florals will be lightly wafted in synchronization with certain scenes.

I'm going to try not to write a big paragraph here, but the majority of writers who write good and original scripts are thrown under the bus and barely get any opportunities. This is because some corporations such as Disney are scared of making original live-action films and would much rather make another Indiana Jones or a 10th Star Wars movie than be original.

Most original, creative, imaginative scripts don't get made into movies. If you are interested in reading some of these scripts I recommend The yearly Blacklist. These big corporations care about money first and audiences second, because of this they focus more on quantity rather than quality,

@mxfg1535

It's the directors and producers you should be blaming for that. Imagine yourself in a situation where you wrote an extremely original script that you think could change the world, and then it gets taken by a big company. You are extremely excited, you will finally be able to show the world your amazing piece. Wrong, the director changes a lot of the script and blames you for it being bad. A lot of the time it isn't the writers fault bu the directors and producers that massively change scripts and make them bland and boring with unoriginal concepts.

@@mxfg1535 Don't matter then. It's still terrible TV. What do they need with all these writers then if all the shows are talking heads, court TV, daily news shows, constant reruns of old crime shows, eight minute commercial breaks and infomercials asking you for a 19.00 monthly pledge for whatever their cause. And don't even get me started about the movies. It was all that way before this strike and I guarantee it won't be any different after this strike. I'll watch reruns of all the great shows from back in the Golden Years of television before I watch any of the trash that's on there today or tomorrow.
