I am glad you show the new products because I don't follow each and every channel to find what is new, plus you show the pros and cons of the products, as to whether or not it is worth my time and money to get one.

I have a Fiskars that goes to 61/4 and has the arm you pull out to 15" I love it! Thanks for the demo!

I have a cutter and a scoreboard which are still perfectly fine, if they should break or get lost, thanks for providing an honest review of my options. 😃

Thanks again Jenny for this review. I just saw the MS Scoring/Trimmer board review and it seems that the WRMK does a better job with the trimmer so I'm going to keep checking for more reviews to see if there's another board that may be a better purchase w/o breaking my bank. Very helpful reviews! I just subscribed to your channel.

I love this tool, I don't have much space to store crafts so love it!

I've had this since it came out. It's great! I have at least 10 trimmers but if I am going to a class or crop this is the one I take. No need to bring a score board too. It is the right size and wt. for travel. I have not change the blade yet and have not had any issues. When I am cutting heavy materials I use a heavy duty trimmer.

Cool gadget. If I didn't already have a score board and a paper trimmer I would probably get this. This is a great space saving tool. Tfs. Bettina

Hi, Jenny! I am in love with this tool... I have used it for several months now and it is very useful and time saving! I have found out that the best way to cut anything in it is sliding the blade from the bottom to the top, this way the paper doesn't move because you keep pushing it against the top edge of the tool and not sliding it down, I think that is what you mean with the warping. Really, really, my best new item this year!!!
@crafttestdummies10 жыл бұрын
Also a good tip. I have been sliding bottom-to-top, too....but that isn't as instinctive for most folks.

CraftTestDummies reviews on Amazon say the blade wears out very quickly. That might be from that problem you were having with the cutter actually cutting through the plastic. Do you still recommend?

Thank you finally a video that tells u how to change the blade.

Thank you very much for the video. I noticed right away on the very first cut that it was a bit warped. I seem to have that problem with both of my cutters also. I think I will pass on this tool Again, thank you for the video.

Thanks for the tutorial! I was so excited when WRMK first introduced this and couldn't wait to get one. Well, I haven't been satisfied with the board. It slides too much on my cutting surface. The grips at the bottom are embedded too far. I can't get a straight cut for nothing no matter what I do. When I flip the piece down to score my paper slides under that piece. The two positive things about the board is that the blade is really sharp and the magnets are strong but I would prefer to get straight cuts. Great concept to have cutting and scoring in one tool but only if it works. Tracey J.

Great video at first I thought what a great idea but after watching the whole video I'm not so sure,great idea but if it doesn't cut strait it would annoy me,will keep looking for the perfect one if there is such a thing.Thanks for the video

I really like this idea. I was hoping to find something like this to make scoring and cutting a lot easier and less time consuming. It would also help keep your crafting area from the clutter of so many different tools we all have. Thanks for your review, I found it to be very helpful. :)

This was my first trimmer I got! I wasted money on this thing I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Have got myself the Stampin Up trimmer fingers crossed it works great. In NZ we pay anywhere from $30 up for a good trimmer this one cost me $30 Stampin Up one cost me $60 lol

This looks very cool! Where do you buy this? tfs! Hugs
@YourMagicMemories9 жыл бұрын
I bought this with high hopes which didn't take long to dash. The worst flaw is the fact that it's near impossible to cut anything under 1 inch. There is no markings to go by. Don't like the way the blade can wobble at the bottom leaving a not so square cut edge. I'll have to say it started out as a great idea but don't think WRMK put much effort in the final product.

Jenny Apple I have this board and I actually have no problem most of the time. I bought a different bone folder because I did not like the one they have with it. all in all I personally can't complain. just know that there will always be products that slip by quality control that do not meet company standards. it's about 10-15% of what's made in a day that make it to packing and shipping that may not have been at quality control standards.
@andreah9936 жыл бұрын
Have to agree with Jenny here I'm afraid. I can not score a straight line. As I start one score, about half way down it comes out of the score line and misses. I thought maybe I was doing it to hard so obviously tried doing it light. No joy. I changed the bone tool to another one and the same happened. My hubby and son tried too to no avail. Really unhappy about the scoring. I won't start on cutting card on there as the measurements seem out and can't cut at an 1/8 measurement. Plus lots more but I've rambled on enough. All on all I'm Very disappointed with it and would NOT recommend this to anyone.

Try scoring at 5 1/2 :-( It's a great idea, but it doesn't cut straight. Love the fact that the measurements are also written for every 1/8th inch, instead of just lines. Also after quite a short while the blade catches the paper :-( (especially on heavier cardstock). I really had high hopes for this.

I also am NOT a fan of this product. I usually LOVE WRMK products, but I can't get a straight cut with this trimmer to save my life, and I consider myself a very seasoned crafter, so user error is not to blame here.
@kanizkhan58995 жыл бұрын
I also purchased this board but I didn’t like it because scoring can be difficult I should have just got a scoreboard instead instead of two in one. That’s just my view on it.

I thank you for doing this video. Really, is it that hard to come up with a decent reliable cutter? I would like: a small, grid in English (I apologize, I can hear some folks yelling, "Nooo"), self-sharpening blade, durable guard, able to cut on both side of guard. I'm more interested in decent, reliable cuts than scoring. Any ideas out there? I am currently using the Fiskars large cutter and it does a good job, but I can't cut really close cuts or on the other side of the guard. Maybe I'm missing something?
@crafttestdummies10 жыл бұрын
Mary- This is the one I bought to supplement my Fiskars Pro-Cision large rotary cutter. It does a nicer job with the small cuts. But I'm wondering if a guillotine-style might be the best?
@MaryJohansen10 жыл бұрын
CraftTestDummies Oh, that makes sense...I think I own every cutter they make out there and have purchased the more expensive ones at work and still nothing is that great. I've done Carl, Wescott, and the guillotine-style seem to end up bending the paper or just tearing it. I will definitely watch your channel to keep up to date (-: Thank you
@carolmelancon10 жыл бұрын
Mary J I haven't tried every kind yet, but I've moved on from three Fiskars (including the Pro-Cision and the plastic guillotine style). I have found the 8 inch Tonic guillotine works well for small jobs and can slice off tiny slivers well, though I wish it was wide enough to measure 5 1/2 inches. I use a 15 inch Rotatrim Professional for accurate cuts on up to several sheets of cardstock and a 15 inch Premier StakCut Green Board Trimmer (guillotine) for up to 30 sheets of paper or several sheets of chipboard. The last two trimmers are not cheap, but I've wasted more than that on poor trimmers. I'm finally happy with these three for precision projects. I have the Stampin' Up trimmer handy to my main work area since it's light and works well enough for most card making. I recently got a Zutter Dream-Kuts that I am loving for card making. It will cut any sheet 12 inches or less exactly in half (plus 12 inch cardstock in thirds). I use it all the time to make A2 cards.

PS I also have a quillotine cutter. I like it better.

i saved up for a long time to get this one, but am sooooo dissapointed. in the netherlands we work with the metric system, and yes those are on the bottom, but black on black, almost impossible and the score lines don;t fit metric, i still use it but if i work in metric i measure first and then situate it on a groove somewhere. the papar guard, that green bit is warped on mine and paper slides underneath...sorry to be negative, but if people would consider buy it, i thought they might want to know
@Fancylooks10 жыл бұрын
In the other hand I advise this tool strongly, I bought it about 4 months ago and I am completely in love with it, it is perfect and even though I bought it because I knew I would use it a lot, I never imagined I would use it as much as I do and that amazes me. It even cuts acetate! And about the centimeter measurements (I am also a cm user since I am Spanish living in Spain where noone uses inches either) being hardly noticeable, I advice you can do like I did, get a white or silver permanent marker (I used a silver Sharpie) and carefully mark the CM measurements with it so they can be seen. I have only highlighted the main measurements, I will tell you sin hope it helps you: -Mark the 14'85 cm line at the bottom (half an A4 marking or A5 lenght) and follow the 5 7/8" groove (the closest on to this measurement) to mark a tiny point in top of it. -Mark the 21 cm line at the bottom (width of an A4 paper), and a tiny mark on top of the 8 1/4", because it is the relative scoring groove), this is very handy when you need to cut an A3 in half (to get two A4s) or fold the A3 in half, -I also marked the 29'7 cm line to mark the length of an A4 paper as a reference This way you can mark whatever measurement you feel can be useful for the measurements you most use. I also had to start changing my mind about rejecting the use of imperial measurements (inches) and it took me just an hour of two to start understanding the way they work.. I was also amazed to find out how useful this was for me, I am still not too good at adding measurements with quarter or eights of inches, but precisely because in this scoring board the measurements are so clearly marked with its number on top, I have found a way to keep moving the measurements back from the scoring groove and this way I don't find any complications to add different inches measurements with cuarters and eights one to another. I have a video in english about making a trading cards box where I explain how I do that, since it is quite difficult to explain it only using text. With this Trim and score it is also very easy to make perfect envelopes without the need for an special envelope punch, I also explain my way in another video in english.

WRMK seem to be really pushing the boat out with their tools lately, which is great. Jenny just to let you know, I think I got a request from you to connect on LinkedIn. I don't want you thinking I am being rude by not confirming I know you, but I actually don't have a LinkedIn account so I'm unable to confirm with it, lol. I don't even know what exactly LinkedIn is, teehee. I think its something to do with Business owners being able to keep in touch but other than that I haven't a clue about it, lol. So I just wanted to let you know that I don't have an account with them .......I wasn't ignoring you....honest! lol. Lee xxx

are the any videos to how to make even cuts-- I was cutting 8.5 x 11in paper in half to make books but the keep coming out uneven. one iwill be 1/8 bigger than the other whish through me off

You may want to switch trimmers. This one is just not very consistent. My favorite is the Fiskars Bypass ProCision. More expensive, but worth it for the true cuts. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gd-EmqWDkrqvqoU.html
@Allhoney335 жыл бұрын
I have to say, this is the worst paper trimmer I've ever bought. No matter what type of paper or cardstock I use, the blade simply chews it right up. I switched to the spare blade and the same thing happened. I can't believe We Are Memory Keepers would put such a poorly crafted product on the market. Fiskars has far superior trimmers and I wish they would come out with a cutting board like this. They'd surely get it right. I feel like We Are Memory Keepers only cares about cute color combinations vs product quality.
@crafttestdummies5 жыл бұрын
For this, I agree. (Also with the Martha Stewart board.) I love the Fiskars trimmers the best, too.
