Yo Mansour, great job! Pretty epic shot of you dragging the cigarette then pushing all your chips in. Then you hit an amazing 2 outer.! That’s an OG moment!

I can't believe I've never seen these legendary hands. That bad beat Tuna took is..........wow. I don't even have the words. That's insane the way that big hand went down.

Not just the production... but for real check the huge difference in style and swag from 1990-2004, only 14 years and it seems as different as black and white. I was 10 in 1990

what they did not show was that after Hans tuna Lund took that tragic bad beat, he proceeded to play for another 3 HOURS and almost got the chip count back to even before losing the final hand. There has NEVER been another player who has taken a beat that horrible and then had the endurance to grind it out for another 3 hours. Tuna was by far the best player in that World Series. He was truly one of the greatest gamblers ever. It was in his blood.................r.i.p.

Thanks for sharing this. Question, in the beginning it said 9th place Stu Ungar, didn’t he NOT show up for the final table ? But still finished 9th …. Thanks
@silentbob3208 Жыл бұрын
He OD'd prior to day 3 and blinded out. He had a big lead, reportedly, as well.
@mattbenz994 ай бұрын
Unger had a major cocaine problem. When he played sober, he was the best in the world. When he was on drugs, he would destroy himself.
@mattbenz994 ай бұрын
When they said that Stu Unger made it to the final table, that is actually a lie. He actually was in the hospital due to a cocaine overdose and the doctors refused to let him go back and play. He made it to 9th place after his stack got blinded down over time. Billy Baxter had actually staked Unger and tried to get the tournament to let him play in Unger's place. Binion's refused.

Even if he got blinded down in 9th he still made it to final table.
@JohnnyAppleseed-yl6foАй бұрын
If he doesn't od, he almost certainly wins his 3rd bracelet here. He had so many chips that he made it to 9th without even being there. Stuey was an amazing card player, an absolute ahead-of-his-time genius, but he was terrible at everything else. He was definitely a cautionary tale of what can happen in the gambling world.

He still showed up to play in the end though. So he was blinded down, but not blinded out.
