Upon Friar Review was my favorite channel on KZfaq for a long time. It had a great deal of influence on my coming to Christ. Was wondering why everything just disappeared. Prayers for Ft Patrick, and more importantly prayers for the victim. Such disheartening news.

I honestly did not know about this until a few mins ago when I couldn't find their KZfaq channel, so I did my research and came across this. I am shocked and i have no words to say after watching this and reading the articles

Regardless of any wrongdoing, Fr Pat did an incredible amount of good for many people while in Greenville, SC. We don't yet know the facts behind the allegations but they were serious enough to have him removed from public ministry. Prayers for him, any potential victim of sexual misconduct, and for the community.

Ironic. I was just thinking about upon friar review, the spotlight, and how he sounded so hurt at the church pedophilia and child rape scandals and then i see that the channel is gone. Only to find this bit of news. Very ironic

Well sadly this explains why upon friar review was taken down most likely by Fr. Casey. Hearing them both discuss this exact topic in the church leads me to believe this incident or case may have been a misunderstanding or something from far back in the past. I’m not gonna gossip on it because it’s not gonna help not knowing any facts. I’ll pray for Fr. Patrick because it could also be just bitter people who don’t want him doing good. Either way he helped me look at the world in a more open minded and healthy way and I pray this whole situation is dealt with justly and without corruption. God have mercy on us poor sinners.

Look, i liked their channel. I found their perspectives fascinating. But someone being really nice and soft-spoken in public doesn't have any relation whatsoever to what they're capable of in private. Lots of SO'ers were believed to be nice people... that's how they get you. C'mon folks, you should not still be using "but hes so nice he couldnt have" logic. That fallacy has been refuted into the dirt, the discourse has evolved soooo far beyond that. If we could always tell who was *really* doing bad things just from their outward personality, then we wouldn't need a court system. Granted, there is no indication as of yet as to what specifically the offense was. But the church is acting suspiciously vague about it, and that is a huge red flag given their track record for covering up heinous things. If all he did was mess around or flirt with another adult, why don't they just come out and say that? It would help his case a lot more than staying silent. It's okay to have fond memories, and I think it's a damn shame this happened. But this is why you should never get too attached to your favorite youtubers.

This man is one of the people who brought me to the catholic faith, UponFriarReview was one of my favorite channels and it perhaps saved my soul 😢. I pray for everyone in this situation. Even if he's guilty, I still appreciate him for what he's done for me and others.

I was wondering why Upon Friar Reviews' channel was labeled as 'Blank Name' when cleaning out and organizing my subscription box. I'm not religious, nor attend any kind of church, but I very much enjoy learning different theologies, including major and minorital religions. How unfortunate, if the misconduct is true (which I wouldn't put it past the Catholic Church) I give my condolences to the victim(s) involved.

This is hard to believe. I watched this guy a lot and even asked him a question over his livestream. I'm tempted to call this bs, but I just don't know.

This is disconcerting... if there are even words for this. On one hand, I wish this were some sort of vicious lie. On the other hand, I hope any who were victim get some closure, sense of recovery, and semblance of justice that will help them through whatever it may have been they experienced. That said... I hope for recovery for Father Patrick as well, whether he strayed off the path or is dealing with slander against his name. I guess I just wish this wasn't true, but hope the best for all involved if it is.

Genuinely, we don't know what that actually means. It's very likely it wasn't criminal misconduct, but perhaps a moral failure on his part. I'm not Catholic, but I pray for his repentance and comfort to anyone involved with the situation.

Keep in mind sexual misconduct doesn't necessarily mean he assaulted someone. It means he broke his vows to the church of celibacy.

I thought he was one of the good ones. This is why I am suspicious of men who take vows of celibacy. Prayers for his victims.

Maybe more will come out later, priests are removed now quickly even before investigation is done fully. I don't blame them after they did such a deplorable job before. There are videos of the good work he did in various sites where he lived and people missing him. I know he helped a lot of people online. We can do good work and be disturbed in other areas though and I pray for the victims and him today. I hope the church is upfront what happened. They were with a priest from EWTN. It lessens the gossip and is better for everyone while keeping the victim's name and information safe.

I'm completely shocked and disheartened by this news. I thought he was just on hiatus. I'm hoping that this was just a misunderstanding or a bad dream we all can just awaken from. My prayers go out to Fr. Pat and anyone involved in this. Let's move towards healing and forgiveness.

I loved their channel, his channel, listening to what he had to say and his sense of humor. But wrong is wrong. None of his good deeds outweighs this. He destroyed lives and y’all are feeling sorry for him. It’s sickening.

Damn. Really sad. I loved the old channel. And let's notice how the story made no mention of this being a criminal matter. It's purely a matter of whatever ethics the Church chooses to adhere to.

Father Pat helped me a lot, and I can’t thank him enough for that help. Its allegations as of now, and his good deeds were numerous and I’m sure others can say he was a major impact to this world, however if this is true I don’t really care what you did and by doing this as a friar? Nope. I’m sorry but no , hopefully this isn’t true but jeez if it is yeah no that’s not okay

It just occurred to me that I hadn't seen in a upon friar review for a while. Then I look it up and find this. O-O I hope he's doing alright. I'm still kinda confused

This is so upsetting, as I myself knew Fr Patrick as well. What I will say though is that he wouldn't have been removed from ministry if the evidence wasn't truly bad, as the Friars statement said that it was a unanimous decision to remove him and have him under immediate monitoring. Praying for anyone affected by this, and also Fr Pat.

This makes me sad. While Fr. Corapi was a huge part in bringing me to the Catholic church, Fr. Pat was just seemed so lovable and good. It's sad that these two men who brought so many to the church or solidified their belief have both been removed from public view. I will not pass judgement until more is known, but I pray this isn't what is sounds like. So so sad.
