@@billybobthornton8122 she wasn’t holy during her time on Earth, and you shouldn’t be worshipping her because nowhere in the Bible does it say to do that. It says to only worship God and only pray to God. This is why Catholicism is satanic, you would say true things and then mix it with falsehood.

St. Peter was the first Pope, he was martyred by upside down crucifixion on Vatican hill hence the name St. Peter's Bascilica. His last words, "I am not worthy to die like my Lord", hence being crucified upside down.

So am I! I was raised Christian but turned atheist later in life. But darn do I love the feeling of being in a church, or reading the bible. I feel like i actually appreciate Christianity and religion in general a lot more after I became an atheist since I can truly appreciate things without any biased preconceptions. And darn, some things are truly beautiful

No, he said/sang (the complete sentence): ""Lectio sancti evangelii secundum matthaeum," which means, "A reading according to the Gospel of St. Matthew." I'm not Catholic or particularly religious but I studied Latin for many years. I didn't listen to the rest of the video, but I assume whatever preceded that timestamp was a verse from the Gospel of Matthew.

@@angelo5891 Secundum can mean "according to," but it can also mean "second" (i.e., 2nd, not the unit of time), when used as a numeral/ordinal or adjective, and when the noun it's modifying is (i) accusative masculine singular; or (ii) nominative, accusative or vocative neuter singular. "Secundum" could also be a noun (neuter gender in the genitive case). I should add that here, the cantor/priest does in fact mean "according to" because he is saying "Lectio sancti evangelii secundum matthaeum" -- that is, "A reading according to the Gospel of St. Matthew." I haven't listened to the rest of the video but I assume whatever he read prior to this excerpt was a verse from the Book of Matthew.
