With such a grueling schedule over the last 2 months (due to her success!) and the "pressure" of being the upcoming #1, Swiatek showed no nerves here. Just an incredibly dominant win on her way to her 3rd consecutive WTA 1000 title. If anyone had any questions about whether she is #1, she certainly made a huge statement today. Hope she can finally get some well-deserved rest before her next event.

I mean she is Polish, of course she will mention it due to the bad political relations to Russia and her being probably the most known person in Poland right now. I really hate to bring politics into the world of sports, but there is a huge difference between saying that the war should end and saying that Ukraine should stay strong. You take a clear political position with the second phrase which should not be part of a sports event. There are a plenty of fights and wars on a daily basis which are not covered in the slightest but which take thousands of humans lifes.

In this match Iga Swiatek proved why she is the best female tennis player on the planet at the moment. She didn't show any nerves and any fatigue. That second set bagel which she handed to Osaka was absolutely unbelievable. The second set ended before it even started. Prime iga Swiatek is like I said before better version of Agnieszka Radwanska. Also Iga Swiatek in past 2 years have improved so much. Two years ago in Australian Open she lost to Anett Kontaveit in three sets in third round and now she is owning Anett Kontaveit. The improvement in Iga's game is astounding. Amazing growth by Iga Swiatek. She out of nowhere became one of the lowest ranked female tennis players to become a Grand Slam champion, now she is the 4th and youngest female tennis player to acchieve the rate Sunshine Double. What an amazing and incredible tennis player Iga Swiatek is. She is such great champion and tennis player. Winning there back to back WTA 1000 level tournaments a feat only done previously by Serena Williams. Naomi Osaka didn't play bad, she played great in fact, but Iga Swiatek played on whole different level. Naomi Osaka wasn't able to match Iga Swiatek at all. She was outplayed and owned by Iga Swiatek especially in the second set. Iga Swiatek seems unbeatable right now. I don't think that even Ashleigh Barty could have won even one set against this good Iga Swiatek. Iga Swiatek is truly the best tennis player on the planet. There's no doubt about it. What a triumph. To completely destroy the 4 time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka like that, it's simply sensational. I truly didn't expect this. Iga Swiatek is awesome tennis player. She won in Qatar, won in Indiana Wells and won in Miami. Amazing triple crown for Iga Swiatek. She starting with Qatar showed why she is the best tennis player on the planet. I can't think of any tennis player who could win against Iga Swiatek. With every single match, she gets stronger and stronger.

If someone has had any doubts, if Świątek deserves #1, now is probably certain. She deserves it. Iga doesn't lose finals. It's total domination. Osaka was terrible. Couldn't return Iga's serves (so Iga didn't face a single break point in entire match). More importantly Naomi made tons of errors and her 1st serve left her in 2nd set - it was final nail to her coffin. If Naomi's 1st serve doesn't work, she's toast against such agile and perfectly moving players like Iga. Świątek was sharp and didn't lose focus and interest like Bencicova in SF. Well done, Queen. Now go for those slams like god intended!

I thought Naomi broke Iga in the 1st set?

Of course congratulations for winning Sunshine Double, but It's too early to call Iga a queen, calm down. When she win Golden Slam she"ll became a real queen like Steffi Graff.

@@axelltullup2638 LOL. Steffi Graf is the only tennis player in history who achieved Golden Slam. Steffi is an empress, Iga is a Queen right now. She's writing a history.

@@vojtasjedyny And this is the reason why Graff is the true Queen. The other legends are only princesses... Iga still has a lot of time to go down in history and become a legend. But for now one winning GS is too litle to do so

I've been saying it for a long time now. This young woman is special. She is going to be an all-time great if she keeps playing at this level. Keep it up Iga!!! You deserve to be the #1 player in the world! I can't wait to see all that you accomplish.

12:25 In this match as in many others, Iga Swiatek has proven to be a great fighter, champion and a great tennis player. But, I have to say, other than that I love her tennis, there is another aspect of her that I love her and that is her personality. I love listening to her in interviews or in her final speeches, and saying to your final competitor "TENNIS IS BETTER WITH NAOMI". I'm glad that she represents tennis so well! Keep it up GA!!!

She just won the U.S. Open. She hasn't lost a finals since she was 17. She hasn't lost a set in a finals for a very long time now. She's starting to dominate and mow down players.

So great to have a final between 2 talented female players not grunting and making weird loud noises when hitting the ball ⭐️
