I can't understand why here in Tunis there are no "klaxon" and feast! Nothing If it was a soccer victory, all people are in street! But a lot of people here in Tunisia are very, very happy and very proud of Ons Jabeur, for sure.

Mots Tunisians can speak arabic french english , those who finished High school can speak another language they choose to learn ( either italian or spanish or german ) so I'm sure ons speaks at least 4 languages

well done to both players, though I thought Jabeur looked sharper this week (a great diversity of clay-styled shots). She certainly has done her country proud...Tunisians should be celebrating. That said...I hope and hope that Pegula has her Masters day soon..She is always so graceful in both winning and losing.

I very much like Jabeur varied skilled and entertainning game style and her sportmanship. I was rooting for her yesterday even though Pegula is also nice. However I was a bit warried about Ons yesterday often being overexcited at the match. She was often too nervous blaming herself for her mistakes. I am very glad she managed to find a way to win though but as I like her and I am usually rooting for her (if she is not playing a Spaniard), I'd like her to keep more relaxed next time. As someone else said, you tunisians should be very proud of her. Greetings from Spain

Ons Jabeur 🇹🇳 this season so far: . The player with the most victories so far on clay with 12 victories (last season she achieved 13 victories in the entire clay season) . 17 victories without any loss when winning the first set . The player with the most victories when the match goes to a 3rd set with 8 wins, accompanied by the American Amanda Anisimova . The player with the most Aces in Madrid Open this year 👍 . In the quarter finals against Halep, she did 15/18 successful drop shots 🤯 A well deserved title 👏👏 (and hard luck to Pegula, who is also a wonderful player 🙏 )
