True story. I played this game before Tactics Ogre: LUCT. So when I played LUCT (The PS1 version), every time I saw Lanselot Tartaro-err I mean Lans Tartare onscreen, I kept asking "...you seem so familiar". He'd appear multiple times and I would keep asking, "Where do I know you from?" Then comes the fight in Barnicia castle. Defeat Lans - and it highlighted him. I recognised the sword he had as Anbicion. I pointed at the screen and said "OH MY GOD. THAT'S HIM! THAT'S ALPHONSE!" Beat "Awww that means the 'a' ending is canon."

Fantastic presentation, this really needs more love! KoL was my first challenge run obsession growing up, and that's been a thing ever since. Absolute gem of a game.

Lore videos on Ogre Battle saga would be awesome. Combined with tips, like how to recruit x character, what story background it has, relationships with other characters, inspiration, details(Canopus and Deneb are names of stars in real life).

I much enjoyed this synopsis of the plot. I didn't know this was the first game chronogically in terms of the lore, nor that Lancelot Tartare was a protagonist of another Tactics Ogre game. Thank you.

The Ogre Battle series has always been one my favourites ever since I played this specific game many years ago. I'm glad to have finally gotten around to play the OG SNES "March of the Black Queen" game and am playing "Let us Cling Together" at the moment, and I really want to learn the lore that this game build up. Knight of Lodis was my first, and may still be my favourite of the games, it's a small but really well made experience.

The way you pause when you speak, it feels satisfying lol, makes me really close in on what you say. The information absorbs like a sponge haha so thanks and awesome video!

I finished the game this knight obtaining the other ending (the no canonical), it´s awesome the deep of the history and also the transformation of Alphonse in Lans. You got a new subscriber, keep doing this content :D

Knight of Lodis...my first Tactical RPG, and the first game to really get me to appreciate the story and nuances with grey morality...also my first game where I fight a god like being (unless you count mewtwo in pokemon as god like) For real, this game is in my top 5 favorite all time games, I love the gameplay, the story, and the music (especially track 04, the one that sounds like a scottish siege) Part of me wishes for a remake...but then I think, no, I think its perfect the way it is, maybe a port so more people can play it

I loved this video to a series that is very near to my heart by known by not so many.

After being introduced to the series from reborn i found myself here....My mind was blown with the Lancelot Tartaros name and realizing how interwoven the characters are through the series. Must have been bitter sweet as a longtime fan to see TO remastered instead of a new entry, after watching all the lore im dying to see what new adventure the xenobians still have to come.

I love how to chose to present KoL first and (hopefully) LUCT second even though the games were released the other way around (at least the originals). This is the exact order I played the game back in the day. I remember being so Heartbroken that I become the 'Bad Guy' in the next game 😃 Subbed, Liked and Looking forward to your next video. Knight of Lodis is my favorite Ogre Battle game, haven’t played the Nintendo 64 one. I liked the Muslim approach of god and shaher, in that he loved god so much that he couldn’t stand being second in god’s eyes. The interactions between you and his fallen angels with the political backdrop. I also loved the Eleanor character. She was someone who couldn’t fit well with others and felt out of place; perhaps she was too kind for those around her. This is why I think she left Alfonse, including that she was a strongly empathetic person and felt pity for shaker’s plight. She fulfilled both the whole inside and her drive for connection. I still remember her melancholic theme track.

I always thought the game was called knights of Lodis and is knigh, as in singular… I have beaten the game several times since 15 years ago and never realised this. Then I wonder, am I stupid? Well, better late than never

somewhere around 20:00 u get to decide ending A by sticking with cybil or ending B with Hector, i think Hector is a lunatic so that's why he went with A in the video i guess

In my only playthrough Rictor survived and Sybil was possessed, granting me Longicolnis.

What's the chronological order of ogre battle games? Only played LUCT

My brother....amazing presentation on the map and presenting the story. 10/10. But. BUT. *BUT!* ....Bevera is not pronounced the same as beaver. I repeat - BEVERA IS NOT THE SAME AS BEAVER! Like, it has the same letters but, my brother in Lodis, if you pronounce beverage as "Beaver-age" you'd get punched in the face so god damn fast by someone nearby. Bevera is either "Behv-ruh", "Behv-era", or "Behv-ver-uh". Oh, and Lasanti comes off as an Italian or Roman last name (parallels to the catholic church and all that), so you'd say it "Luh-zon-tee" or "Luh-zahn-tee". The name shouldn't phonetically rhyme with "eye". I know these are nitpicks but I've been playing this game for about 20 years by this point and those pronunciations gave me psychic damage.
