YEAH, that's basically Zenitsu Also just before his attack, when zenitsu said 'Sixfold' he predicted that exactly how many times he would have to use the first form to reach and behead that demon and then proceeds to take 6 jumps towards him before the final slash

I think it might be more accurate to think of Zenitsu as putting all his stat points into First Form: Thunderclap and Flash. He is essentially Megumin from Konosuba putting all her stat points into Explosion and lacking other techniques. So you could say Zenitsu is THE master of that one specific form.

The author believes that there are three levels of skill proficiency. So... lemme explain few things - The former hashira is not actually Zenitsu's grandfather - its just an endearing way you would call an old person in Asia. So the reason the other guy is angry is cuz Zenitsu seems to take it extremely lightly in his eyes despite having nothing to show for it. As for the way Zenitsu fights - he is a master of a signle technique but he can work it on a way higher level than anyone else. His Thunder and Flash is flawless but he can do nothing else at all. Since it is so powerful he can however "stack" it. Here he said "Thunder and Flash, Sixfold" which means he basically "cast" it 6x and thats the number of dashes he takes up to the final decapitation. His strength is the ability to chain that technique over and over and over. Personally I absolutely love his fighting style. He is the Jack of no traits, master of one.

I love Zenitsu. Can he do all 6 forms? no. But he can do one form 6 times in a row! He's at his strongest when he's passed out due to fear, but _he's_ the one who puts himself into situations that are that terrifying. He's gonna scream and complain the whole way, but he still sticks with it until he reaches his limit.

The hair color thing in the end is so true, especially for hafus (half japanese) and foreign students. If your hair isn't naturally black, or at least dark enough to look black in most scenarios, you'll ironically be forced to dye your hair black.

The idea of Zenitsu is he is basically no good at the other 5 forms, but he has practiced the first form more than probably anyone else. He is incredibly skilled and a strong swordsman however his own fear and insecurities won't allow him to show off his skills. When he passes out however he is unaffected by fear and he is able to unleash his abilities on pure instinct leading him to show off his real power.

People don’t perfect form 1 for thunder breathing. Even as Hashira, form1 is usually not mastered. It is the hardest of all the current thunder forms. Our boy here is the first in a very long time.

He said Thunderclap and Slash Sixfold. Meaning he performed the same technique at least six times continuously at high speed within a moment. Zenitsu is a god at high speed maneuvers when asleep that is.

2:26 will be explained in a few episodes. 4:41 maybe you should become a demon slayer too Luke. 16:30 yeah pretty much. 17:04 the 10 ranks are very irrelavant and Hashira rank wasn't mentioned earlier as there are specific conditions to get that rank. And they didn't know one of the 12 demon moons were on the mountain he sent them in because the normal slayers couldn't take of it. 21:30 He said Thunder Breathing First Form: Thunderclap and Flash, Sixfold so he used the same technique six times in rapid succession. 25:40 the cliffhangers only get worse, and that's unlucky ep 19 and 20 are really bad.

Nah, 18 is a major cliffhanger but 19 is the polar opposite of a cliffhanger. It transitions into "Kamado Tanjiro no Uta" and ends beautifully.

I love the detail of Zenitsu’s moves literally sound like thunderstorm striking to everyone around them, it’s so loud that people from far away can hear it. You have only seen his slowest speed yet luke can’t wait for thunderclap and flash godspeed… that shit was so loud and flashy my heart literally felt like exploding.

The huge amount of training day after day spent with he's grandfather forced Zenitsu to hone the technique to the ideal, when he can use it even unconsciously, there is a saying: "I am not afraid of someone who knows 1000 techniques, I am afraid of someone who has honed 1 punch 1000 times"

As some have explained already, Zenitsu can only use the first of the six forms of the Thunder Breathing fighting style and because he can only do that one, he focused his training on improving upon that first form. Basically the opposite of jack of all trades, master of none.

for the record zenitsu can move around like that because thunder breathing emphasizes the legs and speed compare to the other breathing style we seen so far like tanjiro’s water breathing with its fluidity and many forms and inosuke’s beast breathing with its straight forward but wild and animalistic movements

ive been binge watching all ur Demon Slayer reactions until now and i absolutely love them! U really show genuine interest in the series and take the time to understand and love it, thats something not many reaction channels do so i really appreciate that! Just FYI, Zenitsu and the old man who trained him aren't actually related, Often times in anime ( saying in anime cause IDK if it's a thing really done in Japan IRL or not) younger people will refer to people they are close to with familial titles.

As you may have noticed, Zenitsu is not hit by any enemy here. He only gets bitten by a spider before the fight. People who like to discuss strength often talk about how few attacks the enemy was able to land on Zenitsu and how high his accuracy rate was.

yesss! I love Zenitsu so much. the fact that Tanjiro could hear the attack in the distance is so cool. really shows just how strong it was. ohh. I think the 'six fold' thing Zenitsu said is probably in reference to forging swords. I believe it is that they fold the steel over itself again and again when they are forging blades. the old guy also made references to forging like that. so it's probably Zenitsu also doing it.

A lot of people criticise the character of Zenitsu. Can he be annoying? Yes. But he is one of the most loyal characters in the series. He overcomes so many obstacles and these scenes of him crying are always fun in a certain way. For me, he is one of the best characters of Demon Slayer. And as a person who read the whole thing already: Damn, he's getting some moments to look forward to! While Inosuke is beeing loved from the beginning - he obviously has his charme - his character is lacking the development, that Zenitsu is going through. Is there even a single character not to be loved? Even the bad guys are all great!

Zenitsu power circling along crying, terrified and then surpass his own limit, by his own strength at that one too. He's adorable as he is annoying, yes, but Zenitsu is Zenitsu. Many people says he represent our fear of the unknowns but had the strength to go through the storm even if it crying and complaining while doing so. Love him

I love that every time sleeping Zenitsu gets a badass moment, he also gets a similar moment awake. Like last time it was protecting Nezuko and this time its choosing to fight the poison even though theres no reason to believe that will do anything other than extend his suffering

I think it's mentioned in passing in the manga, but he trained so much at the cost of his sleep, that he started practicing IN his sleep. Which is why he's so damn OP when he passes out. I'd say it's muscle memory more than anything but ofc they gave him inner dialogue and whatnot. His lack of self confidence is really what screws him when he's awake. He doesn't think he can do it, which is why he can't.

A little fact that the first form of thunder breathing was the most fundamental also the hardest one. And one of the reasons why the other guy (the other student of the old Thunder Hashira) got mad at Zen was that he only knew the other five and thought that his master was biased

To clarify, Moons have been killed before. Lower Moons have been slain by Demon slayers before, rare, but occasionally happens. It's one of the ways someone gets promoted to Hashira rank. Upper moons are a whole different beast. Last time an upper moon was slain was 113 years prior.

Thunder breathing 1st form 'thunderclap and flash' is a technique which is done by lunging forward with your katana sheathed, at incredible speeds and striking your for with a one-handed draw. The 'six fold' is a version of the technique Zenitsu created which entails six lunges/strikes, rather than one. This can be used to close distance while dodging and strike, or it can be used to take out six opponents in quick succession. So 'Thunder breathing 1st form thunderclap and flash six fold', is still the same technique as 'Thunder breathing 1st form thunderclap and flash', just preformed multiple times. Hope this clears any confusion

it's not uncommon in manga and anime (especially those with a lot of fighting) to have characters who tyrain so much they can fight while unconscious. Naruto, Hajime no Ippo, Kenichi and more have this kind of character. Zenitsu is one of those, unable to use his full potential because of fear and doubt when he's awake but turns into a beast when he's asleep. So far you only had a glimps of what he'll be able to do. He's definitly one of the best character of the story (and my personnal favorite ^^)

About the school teacher version of Giyu complaining about Zenitsu's hair color: In Japan, schools are extremely strict, and many places have a mandate that hair color must be _black;_ even if a student's natural hair color is dark brown or anything else, they will be made to dye it black.

This is one of my fave episodes of Season 1. 12:09 Your expression change because you now know what to expect gave me life. 19:30 As I said, Zenitsu has some of the most visually stunning moments. Swift and awesome power! He said, "Thunder breathing, 1st form, Thunderclap and Flash: Sixfold," meaning its power was amplified by six times, I think. (Edit: I stand corrected! For one thing, it's muscle memory: Zenitsu drilled the first form of Thunder Breathing over, and over, and over again until his muscles just know how to do it. While this is exaggerated, it's based off a real phenomenon where when you do an action enough times, your body's muscles just remember it and can do it on reflex. That's why they do kata hundreds, thousands of times while training in karate, so that in a real fight, your body just knows how to move and you don't need to think about it. For another, it's that his constant pessimism and self-loathing and fearfulness hold him back from using the skills he legitimately has. It's when he's unconscious that all the mental junk falls away and his body can move without his mind obstructing him.

Know why Zenitsu can even fight while unconcious? It's pure fucking muscle memory. He has trained that one move so much, he can litterally do it asleep. Then there's of course his hearing, but it is mainly muscle memory alone

Thunder Breathing (the kind zenitsu knows) has 6 forms. Zenitsu can only use the first so his gramps told him to hone that 1 form to perfection. So zenitsu can use it better than anyone else. Also the first form holds the basics and essence of thunder breathing.

just some information for Luke about thunder breathing. it is one of the first and hardest breathing techniques which is why zenitsu only managed to learn one form. second remember that guy who threw the fruit at him. he is important in the story
