The trailer is chaotic but I think it's her way of telling her story. Some people write books, some people do tell-all interviews but of course JLo is going to capitalise on the fact that she's one of the biggest movie stars in the world and her personal life is constantly talked/written about. Have you seen the music video for 'Can't Get Enough' which is also her first single from her new album? That is also part of this movie. You see her getting married to the three men she married before reuniting with Ben Affleck and her friends are taking bets on how long they're going to last. She's basically laughing at herself throughout the whole thing. I have no idea how the 'magical' element of it is going to work but I will be seated on February 16th. If it works at all, I imagine other artists might follow suit and make their album into a movie or as JLo calls it a 'musical experience'.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a lengthy comment mate! Yeah I touched on that at 6:27 because that was my thoughts too but I wanted this to be a video focusing on the comedic aspect of people being confused online because I know I was at first viewing lol! I’m all for it being a movie and not a book or tell all interview 100%, the more experimental movies the better, might hit the jackpot with a new formula

I actually got the gist of it. She's playing her life as a cinematic autobiography and we are seeing it through the lens of different genres of films. Kind of a subversion road she's taking. I'm curious how this all ties together because it seems like a montage of clips but the narrator of J'Lo is still the underlying theme in the background telling the trailer vocally. Yeah im scratching my head on this too. LOL. Soundtrack better be good than because her This is Me, album is my favorite from her.

Idk man I think it’s pretty obvious from the trailer the movie is about a woman who marries every man she sleeps with and occasionally visits an extra terrestrial planet to have dance battles and.. regular battles because she can’t sleep like her sister did when they were kids what’s so confusing? Jenvrything Jenvrywhere Jall Jat Jonce! Dammit, I literally typed this before I saw you relate it to that movie! That trailer was wild and all over the place... but it does look visually fun! Makes me think the Wachowski's directed it... wait... did they? But honestly... she might be onto something. This releases with her new album of the same name... so she said screw the music video, let's do a music movie and actually make money off of it! I bet some other big artists try to do the same. Can't wait for the Lady Gaga movie!

1:17- I agree with the movies you showed and I was unfortunately made to endure a bunch of them because of whatever girl I was with at that time! But there was one movie she did that I thought was really good……… I can not for the life of me think of the name though…… ugh…… I’ll be back with that one I guess lol Edit: Oh it was Money Train and The Cell. I mean besides all the voice overs she did for cartoon movies. Money Train was really good and I know not many fans or critics like The Cell but I did. And I really think that the reason why most people didn’t like it (which I kinda get) is because it was one of those twisted movies where the only way you could really get what they were trying to portray was to dive deep into it and really think about almost everything that happens and is said in it. But it’s still kinda twisted, so the deeper you go the more twisted it gets. But that’s because it’s not supposed to be a “feel good” movie. So once most people get to the first or second level they are pretty much done diving into it lol Like I said, I get it! But it definitely hit a lot of those topics that people avoid or just straight out pretend they don’t exist because most people don’t want to really admit this world is pretty F-ed up (at that time) only going to get worse (and it did)! The acting itself could have definitely been better. But with the budget they had and the cost of JLow on her own it’s not like they could afford A list actors across the board. But I do feel even older now after looking this up and seeing how long ago that came out! Lol oh well

Haha I know what you mean though, for example a 2014 movie seems very recent and then you realise that was 10 years ago and it’s like WHAT?! 😂😮 lol I haven’t seen either of those movies so I will add them to my very long list of movies to still watch haha I’ve actually heard quite a few people like the cell so I’ll be checking that out soon 💯👍🏼

Mi Familia, Selena, Out of Sight, El Cantante, Hustlers etc. Go back and watch these Jennifer Lopez movies.. She is a great actress. Also, please don't discredit her rom coms. She's made some really great ones and that's why YOU love them. To provide context, this is essentially a musical experience for her upcoming album with the same title. My best guess is that there will be a blend of her real life experiences and her fantasies.

Well in regards to her rom coms it’s the old argument of is a bad movie really bad if you enjoy it? Lol to me they are guilty pleasures. I’m not discrediting her acting, but again every movie I’ve seen of her (not seen everything and I havnt actually seen the ones you’ve mentioned, but I can only judge what I have seen) are basic and cringey but enjoyable nonetheless. And yes I completely agree that it’s going to be a mix of her life experience and dreams

5:07- You’d be surprised! People have dreams based off of their reality. But if you take that reality and shatter it (which is what happens in most cases of almost all mental illnesses and/or trauma) what you see changes drastically. Plus all movies including those “based on a true story” also feels like they have to add a bit of pop to get people to watch it! No one wants to see a movie about a president that has 45 minutes of it him sitting in a chair! Lol The feel like they have to take it to the extreme. But also they “need” to top whatever they did last time. Which nowadays makes it very hard for almost any studio to make any true story movies because of the level all movies are at right now! And if not, they don’t do that great!!!

6:16- Yeah, he seems mad. But at least he opened and closed the door for her (ATTENTION: Manners and respect isn’t automatic and handed out for free! You actually have to earn it!!! You should always try to be polite and have manners. But that doesn’t mean that if someone proves that they don’t deserve it nor appreciate it then they don’t automatically get it because it’s “the right thing to do”)! And any man that has ever dated a very attractive girl/woman knows also that sometimes those girls/women can drive you insane very quickly! I don’t think he hates her in any of those clips. But he could….. I don’t know. But normally when you “hate” someone the last thing you’re going to do to treat them with respect or go out of your way to be polite! But that might just be my opinion!?!

4:46- Lmao What??? My first thought is, is it in the “steam punk” category?!? Where it’s half reality and the other half is in her head and she can’t see the line that separates them because of some mental illness!?! It could be a bunch of different things besides what I just said which most of them could be in the possibility of true because it’s a “movie”….. but we won’t know until it’s out, a way better 2nd trailer comes out or at least 1 person from the cast or crew sits down and talks about it! Unless they want it to be confusing….. It definitely touches on a few uncomfortable topics for a lot of people but also a lot of things people go through everyday. For one example, I also have a huge problem with sleeping! For over 15 years in the beginning of my life I was lucky if I got 2 or 3 hours of sleep each day. And there was many days with no sleep at all. The longest I’ve ever gone was (I believe) 8 days. It was back when I was in high school and after day 2 it was by my choice just to see how long I could go. Not much good came from that experiment lol except for the fact that I know what my limits use to be! Eventually, my doctor and I finally found a sleep medicine that kinda work….. but if I took it a bit too late I wouldn’t wake up anywhere near the time I needed to. If I took it too early then the effects would wear off before I could fall asleep and then I’d be F-ed because there is nothing I can do at that point. So it took a really long time to finally get everything right! Way longer than it ever should have! I even had a sleep study done on/with me in a big hospital in my state! But all of that is a long story on it’s own so the only way I’ll add it is if someone asks for it?!? I’m pretty much a open book, I don’t mind talking about most of it! And there were a few other topics I could definitely relate to. But when you add the audio with the video of this trailer it gets very confusing very quickly lmao so yeah…..

2:32- At this point I have not seen this trailer nor have I even heard about this movie before this (I’m not really much into the “movie” circles anymore. Nor do I spend much if any time on SM. But it would have been hilarious if you added in that caption above a few words to make it say “Time stamps in pinned comments to skip the trailer if have already had to endure and suffer through this trailer before! I don’t want you to have flashbacks”!?! Lol obviously it’s a joke but it would have also been pretty funny especially with how you been talking about this trailer and the title of this video. All good though!!!
