Now WTVW Ch. 7 is currently affiliated with The CW television network, almost a month after the previous CW affiliate WAZE-TV 19's repeaters went dark.

Their Fox affiliation went to WEVV-DT2

Fox is also on a low power station called WEEV-LD formerly known as W47EE-D from 2011-2015 on 47.1.

TIP: Although WEHT's affiliation with CBS doesn't end until December of that year, some of CBS's programmed moved to Channel 44, beginning with "The Price is Right" with Bob Barker. Therefore, the switch to CBS on Channel 44 wasn't complete until that time.

In March 1995, CBS announced that it would purchase Providence ABC affiliate WPRI (channel 12) as compensation for its September 1994 purchase of WGPR (channel 62) in Detroit. The CBS affiliate in Providence at the time was WLNE (channel 6), which was owned by Freedom Communications. Two months after the purchase was announced, Freedom signed an affiliation deal with ABC which renewed the network's affiliation with WTVC (channel 9) in Chattanooga and caused WLNE to switch to ABC. CBS completed its purchase of WPRI in late July 1995, a few weeks before Westinghouse announced plans to acquire CBS. Although WLNE and WPRI swapped affiliations on 9/10/95 (the same day of the aforementioned affiliation switches in Denver, Philadelphia, and Salt Lake City), Westinghouse would not complete its purchase of CBS until November 24. WPRI would be forced to be sold as a result of its signal overlap with WBZ (channel 4) in Boston, which had joined CBS back in January of that year.

Clear Channel Broadcasting would acquire WPRI from CBS.

@@1TexasTV Then LIN broadcasting merged with Clear Channel a year later. Then Media General merged with LIN ten years later to become Nexstar.

@@dimitriberozny3729 Clear Channel was forced to sell WPRI in 2000 as a result of FCC regulations stemming from additional radio station purchases in the Providence market. The remainder of Clear Channel's television broadcast group was acquired by Newport Television in 2007, which itself got liquidated between 2012 and 2013.

This "Circle 7" logo for WHDH-TV looks exactly the same as WABC-TV in NYC does.

Only WFIE 14 also known as NBC 14 in Evansville area that didn't change their affillations in 1995 until now.

My hometown market Columbus Ohio is probably the lowest market(wcmh NBC, WBNS, CBS and WSYX, ABC)whose big three affiliates have never changed networks in their entire history
