In my country we call confinement being in a straw bed. It last for six weeks. We drink herbal teas, take herbal baths and massages. We also eat lots of nutritous soups. Belly bands are also part of the process. A lot of the young people don't do it anymore but they are invigorating. Its lovely seeing how other countries go through the postpartum period.

Rose, in my country, we have similar traditions. I'm from Saint Lucia. Our confinement is nine days, and herbal teas . After nine days, we can take a nice hot bayleaves bath and a rubdown with bayrum and coconut oil. Love you guys.

I love how well the Chinese people care for the mother after birth. We don't have anything like that in the west. We're just left to ourselves to be exhausted, while being ripped open from birth, to care for an infant by ourselves. It's TERRIBLE. God bless you wonderful people❤
