Scientist Dr. Ting has invented a secret formula that will help the world's food crisis, but refuses an offer to sell it. When Dr. Ting is kidnapped by a sinister organization, Alice's boyfriend, the renowned crime fighter Kato is called in to rescue him. No. Just a gimmick to make $. In Asia "The Green Hornet" was entitled "The Kato Show" when I was a kid in the 1960s.

Fun Fact: The titular hero of the Green Hornet Duo named "Carter" (Bruce Li) was loosely based on Bruce Lee's depiction of Kato from the show The Green Hornet (1966 - 1967) and his appearance was heavily based on the main heroes from The Three Fantastic Supermen (1967) in which the titular villain "Superman" (Lung Fei) was also named after.

i have so many fucking problems with this movie like why is kato (or carter) bringing in guys to the police? isn't the police against him? and why is the "green hornet" wearing red tights with a yellow hornet? why does he have a beard? and why does ka- ahem, CARTER wear the same tights as gh later on when before he was dressed as normal kato? (sorry i am a green hornet fan and i am legit pissed about this movie)

WTF? I'm so confused. So why was he dressed like the original Kato in the beginning only to wear a red outfit with a cape? Then there's some other guy with a beard wearing the same outfit, and why are they called green hornet? This whole movie made absolutely no sense. Talk about trying to capitalize on a dead mans name. Holy Crap!
