Waited so many years for this. The original “Evil Cult/ Kung Fu Cult Master/ Cult Master” and the tv series “Heaven Sword & Dragon Sabre” were absolute classics and a masterful story. These actors did so well. Been waiting for that part 2 for a while when the Imperial princess says “meet me at the capitol”. Love the alternate plot points in this one like how Wuji studied for 16 years to master the “Sun Style” instead of meeting that kitchen planet plant monk off the cliff. They gave King Gold Lion more of a role, let his mom live longer, and used separate actors for his mom and the imperial princess. Donnie Yen as grandmaster and other notables like the Shaolin Monk spy is pretty popular. Nicely done for a fans of the movie/series. Semi decent closure for us at the end to Segway into a part 2. English Dub would be clutch.

Never get bored watching this kung fu movie no matter how many times remade. Still the best action movies and best story line. Waiting eagerly for part 2 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I watched the first version of this story with my late father when I was a kid like 20 years ago!!! The main hero Chan Mo Kei was Jet Li. How nice to see another remake of this story 🤗😁😍

If you watch the tv series and prequels, you’ll understand the story behind everything. There’s major changes in this remake of the cult classic, but everything starts off with the condor heroes, and the transition from the song dynasty to the ming dynasty. Originally the two swords actually held the “yin” and “yang” martial arts techniques that were much more powerful than the swords. However every remake does major changes due to the movie budget. Donnie yen isn’t cheap for what short parts he makes a cameo appearance in. 12.6 million dollars+ is what his price is for any movie that he’s in, and depending on how many minutes he’s going to appear in any movie, he can charge a few million just for a short scene, lol. They already have completed the entire movie, and just broke this remake down into two or three parts. We shall see where the part 2 ends at in the story. I find that some tv series have a higher production quality, than some of the movies that come out. Especially when it comes to the costume and set designs. This movie spent all of its money on Donnie yen, and a few top Tv series actors. I think that’s why the the special effects, set designs, and costumes weren’t that great. Overall the show was okay, but they rushed the main characters back stories, and it will be confusing to anyone who’s never seen the early 90s show; overall anyone who hasn’t watched one of the many tv series remakes, will definitely not understand what is happening, and why did one thing lead to another.

Stunning visual effects. Finally, kung fu cult master has an ending (jet li one was incomplete). Love to see part two to finally know the outcome.

Evil cult is by far my best movie in the history of movies. I was always sad there wasn’t a continuation.. this is the closest i can get for a continuation then I’ll gladly take it. I’m so glad!

I love this show, never get enough of it. It was a disappointment at the part where the MC jumped out to rescue the girl that he given a stone to when he was a kid. It was surprising to see that he try to hide his identity but instead he uses the "Tiger Raw " which only his uncle know, he might as well tell them that he is related to the man they looking for.

I also loved the 1978 version of the movie staring Derek Yee as Zhang Wuji. Love the 40 episode series on Prime Video and also the movie staring Donnie Yen

This is great as the original one that played back in 1993 with Jet li . Although the original one with Jet li is remarkable. But I watched this one thinking I'd see more of Donnie yen in action.

this reminds me of the old movie where Jet Li played the son, there was also a second movie, but the third never came out because production cost were too high at that time it wasn't that successful as the creators hoped for. I forgot the names of the old movies though. I only remember Jet Li played the son. Unfortunately the third movie of the trilogy came never out so I will never know how the story ended. :(

The original of that movie was not portrayed by jet li.. it was 1970's era , the title is heaven sword and dragon sabre.. that is the 3rd remake by Donnie yen. I love that movie🙏

Old Master is injured, can't fight, but can levitate and do forms still. Its like when Master Asia was too injured to walk, but was able to punch a skyscraper out of the ground.

Pretty good but the series heaven sword and dragon saber are so much better because there is so much more to the story than can be squeezed into just a single film

I have so many mixed feelings about this movie series. The title is translated as "Nine Suns Divine Art" but its official English title is called New Kung Fu Cult Master and oddly didn't use it's more famous title: Heavenly Sword Dragon Saber. I'm glad HK made another version of this because China has mostly dominated in the last serveral remakes in the past 20 yrs. Based on the novel, there's more than enough material to make this into a 50 episode TV series and oddly made into a movie, condensing and simplifying a great deal of its plot. With so many TVB and HK actors, I'm surprised they didn't make this into a full Cantonese production.

All the comments are in English. So the Wudang and other Chinese classic lovers are alive and kicking. 👍👌
