During a changeover in China to constitutional government, regional warlords and chiefs use the confusion to rebel against the new government. One honorable chief refuses and leaks a secret ciphered document outlining the warlord’s plans to local police. A shady thug working for the evil warlord faction hires the aid of two young brother scoundrels to assist in ruining the reputation of the town’s police chief Hu, who has come in possession of the leaked document. Before long the two brothers discover the power of the document and numerous assassins and warlords are deployed to try to force the document from their capable hands.

Wang Tao aka Don Wong is one of my favorite martial arts masters after Bruce Lee and Philip Kwok aka the lizard. I like Li Yi Min movies was cool Mission Kiss and kill 7 Grand Masters were just two of my favorites. Ching Yi is one of my favorite martial arts bad guys after Lu Feng aka the centipede.

8.5/10 Highly recommended. 👍🏼😎👍🏼🇺🇸 Though we did need more Chang Yi. Pity. He’s in my top 3. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Hmmmmm, I always wondered why Shaw Brothers never let Lee Yi Min do his thing there, He was such a great talent and incredibly acrobatic. A skill you never knew he had until he left SB. Thanks for this wonderful hidden classic.

华夏子孙们。These are the kind of movies that got me obsessed with China and even learned the language and history. Not Chinese myself. A lot of these movies are actually or loosely based on Chinese history. I believe Zhang Xun referenced at the beginning of the movie is the one called the pigtailed General, because he kept his Manchu-type pigtail when the law to have one was already abolished. You may notice in some of these movies, the older generation still have their pigtails whilst the younger men don't, that's like at the end or after the end of the Manchu or Ch'ing dynasty (清代). The history is just as fascinating as these old kung fu movies.

That's exactly what I'd like to know. One thing I hate about a lot of these old kung fu movies is that many times some of the main bad guys get away scot free at the end of the movie.

Esses filmes chineses de luta embalaram o imaginário de muita gente, numa época que a maioria do povo nem sabia o que a arte marcial chinesa kung fu. Com o estrondoso sucesso de Bruce Lee nas telas de cinema, com a produção de muitos filmes de kung fu. Depois, já nos anos 1980 vieram ao Brasil vários mestres chineses de kung fu, abriram se várias academias. Muitos souberam que a realidade não é igual aos filmes.
