The Wuling Bingo, a subcompact electric car crafted by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) within the Wuling brand, showcases a front-motor, front-wheel-drive setup, boasting a wheelbase spanning 2560 mm. This model offers two powertrain choices: a 30 kW (41 hp) motor and a 50 kW (68 hp) motor, both enabling a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph). Opting for power flexibility, the manufacturer presents two battery configurations. The smaller 17.3 kWh variant grants a range of up to 203 km (126 mi) on a single charge following the NEDC cycle, while the larger 31.9 kWh option extends the range to approximately 333 km (207 mi). Notably, in September 2023, Wuling introduced a variant boasting an impressive 410 km (255 mi) range, empowered by a 37.9 kWh LFP battery.
In terms of aesthetics, the Wuling Bingo flaunts a retro-inspired design, characterized by its round body and oval headlights and rear lamps. Available in four distinct color combinations-white and black, green and black or pink and white, as well as fully black-the vehicle's visual appeal is further enhanced. Within the passenger compartment, the design theme continues with a round-oval motif. The dashboard encompasses dual displays serving as clocks and the central touch screen for the multimedia system.
For prospective buyers, the entry-level model comes at a starting price of $8,681.51, accompanied by a 17.3 kWh battery delivering a range of up to 203 km according to the NEDC cycle. Conversely, the top-tier Wuling Bingo variant boasts a larger 37.9 kWh battery, enabling an impressive electric range of up to 410 km (255 mi). This premium edition offers additional luxurious features such as Nappa leather seats, dual-layer front and rear windows, a heated steering wheel, and a Heads-Up Display (HUD). Moreover, the driver’s seat is equipped with ventilation and a massage function. For those seeking enhanced capabilities, this trim level can also be equipped with a rear differential lock, available as an optional extra.
