I followed the link from your restringing video. What an amazing instrument, and what an amazing builder. Thanks for posting this.

Great review and thank you for taking the time to record it. How did you/Liam handle the import duty side of things? I'm an ex pat Brit so may just have to order and pick it up when over. However, with Covid I doubt that will be for a long time (that said his lead time seems to be around 9 months to a year I think). Thanks

Great looking instrument. You mentioned that a humidifier helped with some sharp or protruding fret ends. A few weeks ago I picked up Martin S1 and I think in the dryness of the winter air and running the heat in my house, it's started to develop the fret end issues. Was the humidifier that you used a soundhole humidifier or one that sat loose in the case? Also how long dig it take before you noticed that the problem had resolved itself?

It’s lovely. And since made without computer exactness, probably has a slightly different sound from any other instrument.

Thank you for the in-depth review! Wow, worth brown strings on your uke still this loud and clear, amazing build! How do you compare this with your previous Ohana SK-39, regarding volume and playability? I like tones of both 🌝

That's a real cannon! You brought out the timeless charm of soprano. Never been this amazed by soprano before I listened to your performances. I also enjoy your lessons on your Patreon too! 👍👍

This is lovely. I emailed Liam a couple of years ago and enquires about his Ike model. May I ask what exactly did you specify that differed from his usual May model, like the nut width?

hi, this uke too cute, is it possible to buy it?

Really like those 19th century style headstocks. I'm curious why you prefer the soprano over, say, a concert, especially if you're big. Does it have more cut/projection?
@Banjoleletinman5 ай бұрын
That’s a large part of it! The soprano has a certain throaty voice that really cuts through. That mid range punch really gives me the sound in my head. The short scale length also enables me to reach some chord voicings that wouldn’t be doable on other instruments

@@Banjoleletinman Thanks, yeah the scale length I wondered about too, didn't think of that.

I have a question about you thin mans strings. Are they louder than Martins and worth Cm ???
@Banjoleletinman9 ай бұрын
It's really hard to say and depends on the instrument. My uke prefers a bit lower tension which makes the instrument louder with them but every instrument will have their sweet spot.

Was it expensive? 🙂

For a custom ukulele not at all! They start around £700 although I think the price has gone up a bit since I got mine.

@@Banjoleletinman Thank you! Not too crazy and worth considering, given that it is completely custom and handmade.
