Out of topic, let’s say both of npc Genshin and Wuthering Waves design is equal, just an example okay. BUT!! Here’s the thing, Wuthering Waves npc still stands out BECAUSE OF!! They’re alive, what im trying to say is, the delivery man literally deliver the item, if you follow them incase you spot someone, you’ll see them walking hundred miles (they’re slow and sometimes resting so be patient) and delivered the item infront of the costumer house, then after their conversation they despawned ; Not only the delivery man, the midnight ranger too, you can see them patrolling and also killing other TD’s, whenever i see them fighting TD’s i always help them, you should help them too if you love the lore ‘coz they have family and friends, so that’s the thing why Wuthering Waves Npc stands out to Genshin Npc.

I think that what brings down Genshin NPCs the most, is that their physiology and artstyle seems different from playable characters, as if they were a different species of human. Wuthering NPCs fit in with playable characters stylistically, hence they seem more atractive and natural

Wuwa npc actually react when attacked, but you choose the one that don't react, some genshin npc also don't react when getting attacked

It will be crazy if the NPC from wuwa some of them become playable character.

I think the most striking difference is just how prominent genshins same-face sydrome is especially when compared directly to Wuwa.

what i really like about WuWa npcs are that some are travelling the world (like the panda looking guys, they're supposed to be equivalent to mail guys or deliver guys i think). and the midnight rangers as well, not only do the midnight rangers travel the world but also attack Tacet Discords which is a neat little detail.

the Lollo Logistics NPC is one of best hidden rewards in the game. i always skip them thinking it's just npcs walking around, when i accidentally talked to one of them during echo farming, and suddenly i got 10 Asterites 💀. I thought that it's just for that particular npc only, but everytime i talked to every Lollo NPCs in the wilds, i got rewarded with 10 Asterites

The way Fontaine npc (GI 4.0) are needed to be close to WuWa's npc says a lot. Heck WuWa wins for skin tone as the npc looks more humans than white blobs.

Imho i like wuwa npcs better cause they don't reuse the same model for different people it gives them more character.. unlike genshin which they use the same models and redesign the clothes hair eyes etc etc..

The world in wuwa feel more alive solely because different faction NPCs fight with each other. Like how Jinzhou guards would actually fight the mobs outside if close enough, or other mob species would fight each other.

You can also check enemy interactions. wuwa has enemy conflicts unlike genshin. thats what makes the world in wuwa more alive for me. Fun fact on wuwa npc's too, the guards on the main city actually salutes to you when you walk in and out of the city gates

Genshin npc has their clothes sticked with their skin its like the clothes are the skin itself. I cant unsee that every single time. But wuwa their clothes have some layers on it even tho u still sometime see clothes also sticked with the skin but they masked it pretty well.

Wuwa NPCs have so much personality with their unique designs. Genshin NPCs all follow the same template build-your-own-NPC pack. So many NPCs have the same expressionless face with that one Teppei haircuit. 😅

Even if genshin somehow in the lead against wuwa for something, i can't change the fact i already burnt out by genshin so tbh no matter what the effort genshin try improve just won't work for me anymore. I play genshin just for daily, don't care about exploring after furina archon story is done, don't care about the existing of resin anymore (since i got furina, all artifact grinding is no success whatsoever n no news about changing the chances of getting decent artifact by dev so i gave up) Once i get clorinde ( i hope i get her) i will play her a bit, ship her with wrio for a while n i will finally retire fron the game Also for everyone who keeps saying genshin is a lot better because of attention to details or better story, first of all, i can just watch youtube for recap n nooooo need for that a** long dialogues anymore n just get to the point. The story will keep on going, the excitement for the story still remain and continue to grow. But, the gameplay mechanics will always be the same n never change (since the dev says so, saying there is just no end game content) so, just watch recap on youtube is perfectly fine with me

I did not know the costumes in genshin are literally flat images on the model. There is no separation between the designs, accessories and the clothes, it's one single image pasted onto the model. That delivery dude literally had his bagpack's straps flattened onto his clothes 🤦‍♂️ Wuwa is opening my eyes big and wide on the flaws

Yes, I myself have followed npcs after daily quests and stuff too. But wuwa npcs are on another level. Not only are they not restricted to moving around only during quests . But your enemies fight each other's too! Also patroller defending the city, delivery guys travelling. Exiles fighting tds, tds fighting each other and Those weird villan groups fighting tds. That's a lot of work and it is a job well done. Dont get me wrong there are also npcs which move arround in genshin but they are only interacted with by the player execpt for the odd npc. They do not feel as alive as wuwa ones. Tho it is fun to follow them to see which npcs use which random houses.

Honestly, both games have their merits and their downsides. Both games are beautiful. Both games are fun. If you like one more than the other, great! Just don't feel like you have to bash the other game to prop up the game you enjoy. Lots of ppl play Genshin, myself included. Lots of people are playing WuW, myself included. If you're having fun that's all that matters at the end of the day, isn't it?

The npcs actually respond to attacks even in WuWa just like the ones shown in Genshin. Idk if every npc does it but I've seen it happen many times when I accidentally clicked my skill and hit a npc directly lol. They're slow at responding tho I'll say that, they don't respond immediately and sometimes not respond at all. Melee attacks works the best if u want a response from the npcs because u can get a direct hit. Never tried it with Encore before. As for the character designs Genshin has some nice ones but I just love the style of WuWa characters more. I'm not talking about the faces/outfits, I'm mainly talking about the lighting, coloring and art style, looking more.. I'd say mature (I mean we're comparing ue with unity so yea...). I couldn't find a better word. Simply what I'm trying to say is WuWa artstyle is more similar to the anime artstyle I'm used to watching and also love. I haven't watched many good animes because of not liking their artstyle lol I'll watch them eventually tho. Artstyle plays a bigger role for me before it comes down to the actual design of the model when it's about anime. That's the one time I don't follow the "don't judge a book by it's cover" rule.

wuwa npcs eyes though look like someone edited in png than actual eyes but the rest of it are almost perfect. seeing npc soldiers in wuwa fighting enemies and their hp actually goes down and they die. even mobs kill each other in the wild.

I love the design of WuWa NPC’s but I love how Genshin’s NPC’s actually react to what you do. It’s nice attention to detail. Like how they applause after doing a certain attack or act freightened, or actually wince when you run into them. Mostly I’ve found that the WuWa NPC’s don’t really react to anything. Tho I do like that you can see them performing various tasks in real time.
