I did mephis with c6 jiyan but he is still lvl 70 baizhi is 60 and I dont have a legendary mortefi doesnt even have his own echos I gave him the echos from my encor and still won ^^ Even tectone on his testserver account did not manage to kill mephis and he was lvl 90 with all 3 chars verina and mortefi with legendary It's just about skill nubs get good losers

Honestly, the monthly pass costs only like 5 bucks. It's really not that expensive and provides a lot of value to pull for more characters to make more teams and etc. So, I'd say low spenders win the most since 5 bucks a month ain't much and the benefits are great

If it means getting an extra 150 asterites per tower reset and 40 asterites per hologram boss for 1-2 month EARLIER than 99% of the players then sure you can say it's pay to win For me it's not pay to win cuz I can just wait for 1-2 months and get the same rewards if your definition of "winning" is doing 500k+ damage nuke per cycle than sure you can call it p2w

The truth is it's mostly internal arguments within the wuwa community, with sweaty f2p players hating on whales and saying they can't beat the game even if they whale, which is just straight up cap. I honestly don't like what the community is cultivating when it comes to end game content, it's almost as if they're gatekeeping other players, almost like I'm in a souls-borne community for some reason, with sweats trying to downplay others for choosing to be OP. I for one love whales on every Gacha game I've played. They fund the game for f2p players and small spenders.

ive been playing games for over 10 years and never bothered to learn dodge and parry, but this game, ive to learn it😂 and im regretful i didnt try to learn it earlier, i would have enjoyed my previous games more. you dont have to be able to dodge the attacks every time, 1 out of 2 is ok, and you will find the kid in your heart happy every time you are able to dodge or parry ❤ never too late to learn

At whale level yeah. F2p still have to skill through Genshin. Unfortunately Genshin doesn't have anything like Hologram bosses. I don't feel like Local Legends are as compelling. But the combat in Genshin is definitely deeper than WuWa. But like I said, at Whale investment you don't really have to engage with mechanics as much in either game.

Whale investment is like that in almost every game, but I believe Honkai Impact 3 is more applicable considering clearing it take literal second there if You are at the top, meanwhile Abyss still need maybe 30 second-ish if it was easy and 1 min-ish if its hard(per-chamber)

Azur Lane is p2w only if you think winning means having the most skins or the highest fleet power, which is just a flex stat. Pvp gives a 20% damage advantage for the attacker , meaning oathing your ships (less than 6% more stats) is not necessary, even considering that pvp rewards are mediocre in the first place too. So nah, p2w in every gacha game isn't true.

@david_ace Getting several copies of a ship is pointless in Azur Lane, and as long as you know how to use your cubes efficiently (gacha currency), you can obtain every ship from each banner. Not to mention, the majority of events can be skipped if you only care about meta or waifus. Sure, you can buy more cubes... I have never bought cubes, have 100% collection, and I am gaining cubes from event to event. I guess you can argue it's 'play' to win instead of 'pay' as the primary source of cubes is by doing commissions (just log in and start the commissions, wait for some time and they'll give rewards) and urgent commissions (same thing but they only get triggered on chance after beating enemy fleets). There's no reason you'd have a disadvantage by not paying; That'd be your own fault for being incompetent. Game's out since 2017, so you'd have some catching-up to do, but having to pay is an illusion.

p2w = paying to get an advantage in a game that can be a character, a weapon, more gears or even gameplay advantage (for exemple because u paid u get an item that prevent your character to get Oneshotted) and you dont have to "win" against player

@@david_ace but by that logic, if someone who doesn't pay could win at the same winning condition (eg: clear the stage in x seconds), that technically win, without comparing to other player, could that game called a "p2w game" though? It's what I confused from today's p2w compared to its definition back then. I mean, WuWa and GI doesn't need to invest that much when it gets to clear any hard content at bare minimum best winning condition. So I won't dare to call them p2w. From my views, most gacha games aren't p2w as long as they don't have any leaderboards. As long as the point of "trading time for money" is enough to win, I don't count them p2w, because they're "trading money for time (plus exclusive items)". Like arknights, every level could be cleared with 3*s and 4*s, so much that you only need to borrow friends operator. Or FGO with Cu & borrowed Herc. GI and WuWa could be cleared with only 4* in decent investment. While for example Hi3 and UmaMusu that's really hard on their leaderboard for better rewards. They force you to buy every gears because the one that you grind or freebies aren't that strong enough to "win", and it's on a lootbox. UmaMusu is even worse than Hi3, they need you to pull exclusive cards to the max level break as the levels also giving you new bonuses and upgrades of the cards passive. I don't really count BlueAka & PriConne because their characters are quite easy to max with excess fragments though. Their currency are so easy to farm and games like that are generous with the tickets, but their 200 pity lootboxes with the rate are still sucks though.

Whatever a f2p can do doesnt matter. The fact is that a whale can pay their way to victory. You can't call that "pay for convenient" when they just straight up win the game. In conlcusion, it's a p2w game but you can also play it f2p like many other games.

For now, that & tower (i think), doesnt mean this is all we get, the game is new & if theres already whales clearing the current hardest content, it could push kuro to design something actually difficult, & that wouldnt be easily beaten even with maxed characters, or they could simply lock your characters & make you use trial characters or something, something to make it equal playing field for all players

you can buy wavebands using Afterglow Corals to increase your resonance chains so expect reruns as opportunities for players to increase RC# of 5* characters unlike in that other game which requires you to pull the character again in WuWa it's significantly more affordable

I greet to a degree, since people enjoy games in different ways, I will spend enough to have all characters and their weapons, and will max refresh, this way I don't get denied anything and enjoy the game, without making the game easy. Not being able to get all the characters you want is also not fun.

The resonance chain and weapon refinement definitely have more to do with this damage than progression. You will never be able to do this much damage with Jiyan without S6R6

Both are relatively the same. If you are losing, you can pay to win such as paying to destroy all of Tower of Adversity. Either way, both give a HUGE advantage over all content. And in a game where you don't need to pay to win, devs can easily make it hard as hell to entice people to pay to win, while not forcing them to pay. Even harder than Elden Ring. SO it feels like one has to pay to win. Can see where people are coming from. Where does one draw the line...

To be honest, if whales who S6 and R5 would struggle to clear, the f2p and low spenders would have zero chance, so let whales enjoy their one shot clears, they paid for it. Struggling to get the characters you want is also no fun for me, for example I want both jinshi and changli, with their weapons, I will pay until I have them

The Mourning Aix was hologram 6 lol. Sure he can test it on tempest Mephis hologram 6, but how much hp does he really have compared to Aix? And how many 600k+ nuke on 1 enhanced Jiyan ult can it tank? I'm betting only 3 at max lol and that is without the normal attacks from the ult form of Jiyan, so it's clearly VERY doable. And tbh, tempest hologram 6 is already doable at level 70 f2p. You can see Sweetily's solo Encore and other CC vids.
