so to conclude, EVERY 5 STARS DPS ARE NERFED BY 30% ON AVERAGE, exception, 1. chixia more like adjusted *both nerf and buff equally(because this is low tier DPS nobody even care) 2. danjin buffed, she is OP but require higher skill cap to use, so its meaningless for the 30 millions casual player 3. verina buff (welp she is only a support and people will use their *5 selector on her) 4. MC buffed overall 10% lets see the reasoning.... its because on CBT 2 that everyone forced to be F2P within that 30 days the tryhard already able to beat difficulty 5 boss, with this global nerf the tryhard sweatygamers can only go to diff 4, and casual stage 3, so theres more stage only beatable by spenders. why they do that?so the hype and challenge stay longer instead of 1-2 months, F2P efficiency freak forced to only build the free 3 DPS (MC+chixia+danjin)+verina selector for lategame, because 1 copy of 5 stars no longer viable for lategame. this is actually reasonable, you can still able to be sweaty gamers, but with limited character build choice, while those that want to play the cool 5 star DPS on lategame need to spend and gacha. good thing is, reroll is useless now

Doesn't change anything for me my plan is to get a 5* dps, hybrid and support team after that ill worry about full elemental teams and weapons plus I didn't understand half of that I only comprehended the high and low values. Just to point it out, most of the nerfs have to do with "mid-air" basic attacks and not just overall attack.

I believe that during the CBT2 it was possible to switch characters mid-plunge atatck animation, and hit the enemy with two plunge atatcks at once (both the character leaving the field, and the character entering the field) I've also heard a cc say that, after he published a video talking about the "switch cancels" techs, he was informed by the dev team that these techs were actually the result of lag and they would be fixed. So... I'm kinda relieved they are nerfing the plunge atatcks, actually, since it suggests they decided to turn this "bug" into a feature. (Being able to switch characters mid attack and keep the previous character on the field for a second or two, similar to the recently released Solo Leveling game, looks like one of the coolest parts of the WuWa's combat system, imo.) That aside... I'm really surprised the Cacharo and Encore are the characters hit by the most nerfs, while Danjin is seemingly getting buffed instead. I mean, I'm not complaining, since I was planning to main Danjin and was scared they might nerf her to the ground, but... This is really surprising nonetheless. I wonder if there are any changes to the animations. If they decided to speed up some of the 5* animations overall, this could explain the reduction on some characters' values without it necessarily being a nerf.

I know you were rushing to get this video out but if you actually read it they swapped the buff from specifically Basic and Heavy Attack to a flat Attack stat bonus. Assuming the wording is correct and there's no mistranslations this would mean ALL of his attacks benefit from the boost and not just Basic and Heavy

to me, the most dissapointing part is the weapon effect changes, just overall generic and uninspired, if you read the article, 80% of the weapons pretty much got one of 3 effects: atk buff on skill, atk buff on intro skill, or atk buff over a specific hp threshold, that to me is such a shame, where basically all 4 star weapons push foward the same kind of playstyle, big shame I think.

These leaks are totally out of context, they just nerfed almost all characters but what about the monsters? We don't know if they made alterations on them or if they made changes on their level, def, atk, hp, skills and abilities. So instead of crying in the comment section we should just wait some hours and go play and enjoy the game

will they do this even after a character are released? one thing I liked with hoyo games is once the character is released theres no more buff or nerfs,its fixed if they will do these nerfs and buffs for every patch then its a huge letdown, why would i invest in a character only to be nerfed lol

Verina’s attacks got buffed which already did almost no damage, so it’s not that big of a buff tbh cuz u won’t be playing Verina on-field for most of the times anyways (the duration of her buff lasting longer is a buff tho, but at least the numbers didn’t get buffed)

It's a good thing they are doing the nerfs before release. Because players will complain of nerfs if this is done after release. And if they follow PGR's trend, after some time, they will eventually buff old units if there are already new units so old units could catch up with utility and damage.

they are buffing her because she is extremely hard to play. He life depletes the more damage she does or attacks she makes. Its a trade off more damage to them and to you.

Seems like more of a numbers shift to me. They took everyone's damage and lowered it. It's not like some characters are way weaker then others now, everyone got lowered together. There's also just some general balancing. Not going to make characters feel worse, if anything they might feel better. We'll have to see if any of these changes stand out. regardless, better to nerf before launch so they can buff later if needed. Nerfing later would be way worse for the game.

Before people panic about Calcharo, the inclusion of his resonance 2 into base kit actually is a functionally big buff. The reason for this, is that, at the highest end he will do significantly *more* damage than ptb version, at least at max resonance. This is because the resonance bonuses are now electro damage bonus, which is a % multiplier. That's fairly massive because this allows him to be more supportive of his team, and also allows him to still remain powerful. While calcharo's onfield damage was very high, it doesnt appear to be too significant of nerfs in number values to be considerably worse, especially given that at base value you did get the intro skill buff. The only real difference is the nerf to plunging attacks for the most part, as those were too strong in general. Don't know why you read it like he got a nerf in his resonances when those were purely buffs. Because they moved a resonance to base kit.
