Our power was out from Monday morning to Wednesday morning. We borrowed a couple of portable AC units from our company and that helped us stay cool through the night. Our generator was able to power our deep freezer, refrigerator, 2 1 ton portable AC units, some fans, phones and some lights. Man that was a lifesaver

I live out in Conroe, our power went out Monday morning...pretty much all stores in Conroe were shutdown so we drove out to College Station and got a generator from home Depot...that bad boy came in clutch for us!

Also, if you are interested, you can purchase an auxiliary muffler that will screw onto the exhaust of the generator, if it has threads on it, most do. Just be careful no one/animals will walk into it

Good rule of thumb when generator is in storage unplug the battery or trickle charge it.

Those battery maintainers are the best method...Only use 2 amp or less for those small batteries.

Maybe there are some added instructions about starting a warm engine. My guess is, once started and warm then turned off, to restart the engine set the valve "dial" to 3:00 position and once started, move it slowly to the run position. When you started it for the first time, it was dead cold but the current weather is rather warm and I did notice the cold setting was too much choke to leave it there once started. Moving the dial from the 2:00 position to 3:00 once started had cleared it up from being too rich. You will get used to it but that 2:00 position on the dial seems to be for much colder starts such as in winter so I'd start it in summertime closer to a 2:30 to 3:00 position then move it to run after 1 minute. 1 liter (33.8 ounces) is more than 1 quart (32 ounces) so 1.1 liters = 37.1 ounces. Cool "tool room" out back there. Regarding your natural gas supply needs, I would get your favorite plumber to run you a rigid gas line from that meter to a location in your patio area that is convenient to use your generator as well as other gas appliances such as a gas BBQ grill or a gas firepit etc. It's not safe to run flexible lines outdoors so better to spend for getting a gas line with a shut off valve to the patio. You can have the plumber rig the end of the gas line to work with quick connect as well as other quick connects but I'd have at least two ports so you can run the generator and at least one other gas appliance since you won't know until the times comes that the power is out and you need to use gas for something else while the generator is in use. Not to mention, it will look way better having a rigid gas line done professionally and make connecting the flexible coupling way convenient when the time comes. Of course, if you are planning on moving in the next couple of years, maybe that expense isn't reasonable but if not, it would be more of an asset the longer you live there.
