Weekend away in the new van to Aberdeenshire and the Angus coast, We used the Fatbikes to ride along the beach at Newburgh to see the remains of some of the WW2 coastal defences

Loved the video and very moving music for the scenery. Deserted beaches with no tourists. You lucky people. 😁👍

Glad you enjoyed it Carlton 😁 yeah deserted! Just a few tourists near the estuary hoping to see seals-there were hardly any but usually loads!, and a horse rider, and the main beach was deserted! Music is by Scottish artist C.H.R.I.S.T (Chris T)👍😁 Cheers Bruce

Reminded me of the old gun emplacements on Spurn Point not far from my home at the mouth of the Humber ! 👍🏻

The defences up and down the eastern coastline of the U.K. are fascinating, there is a brilliant book called ‘If Hitler Come, by George Barcley and it lists all the defences with maps on the Scottish Coastline 😁👍 Cheers Bruce

Great vid. Loved the flipped bunker. Nice place to toss a sleeping bag. 🙃 Sad to see so many birds dying. Did a quick search and found: Avian influenza A (bird flu) viruses may be transmitted from infected birds to other animals, and potentially to humans, in two main ways: Directly from infected birds or from avian influenza A virus-contaminated environments. Through an intermediate host, such as another animal. I'm sure you guys were careful. Cheers 🥃

Hi Lance, we did not touch anything along the coast near the birds, so sad to see, good defences and even better ones to see on the Cromarty Firth we visited last year but returning on the Classic 350 hopefully soon and there is one you can still go down underground into its magazine storage area! wow man very sad to see my home village and its beach empty, i remember the sleepless nights of parties down at that bunkers couple years back, or the school trips to visit and the family trips, the eco system in the globe is fucked and its sad to see the once beautiful sight of newburgh beach gleaming with people and there families fall to shame.
