The full name of this 8-wheeled armoured car is an SdKfz 234/3 Schwerer Panzerspähwagen (Heavy Armoured Reconnaissance Vehicle). There were four variants of the SdKfz 234, each with a different main armament. The 234/3 mounted a short-barrelled 75mm KwK 51 gun designed to give fire support to more lightly armed reconnaissance vehicles. Around 88 were built. This vehicle was captured at the end of WW2 in full working order and is now at The Tank Museum in Bovington, UK.
