Eduard's Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat in 1/72 scale is a fantastic kit. With the Profipack Edition you get a very good overall package for little money. Masks, colored PE parts and nice decal options are included.
For the first time I used the 3D rivet decals from HGW. These are easy to use and subtly increase the level of detail. They are very fine and you have to be careful with the coloring otherwise you will lose the effect.
Building, painting and weathering of the model went without any major problems and many details could be highlighted.
I wanted to create a small WW2 aircraft carrier deck scene with a VF-27 Hellcat aboard the aircraft carrier USS Princeton (CVL-23). The resin figures from CMK fit perfectly and a 3D printed flight deck provides a nice base for the diorama.
Overall, I am very happy with the result and enjoyed building this little diorama. Enjoy the build, paint and weathering process and feel free to leave a comment.

Excellent work! Lovely build and the deck turned out great. Don't bother with the eyes on figures in 72nd. I use the same process on my figures as you do. After removing some of the wash with a swab I give them a light dry brush too. Congratulations again on your diorama, very well done my friend!

Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm increasingly enjoying working at 1/72 scale. The projects are more manageable and fit in your hand. I try to indicate the eyes and lips of the figures as best as I can. In any case, you can only see most of the imperfect areas when you zoom in with the camera in high resolution.
