@Youandme-kd3ic "they didn't have to"?? I'm German and I'll say this, the fact America joined the war was instrumental for the war effort. If they hadn't, the Axis might still have lost, but the whole ordeal would have been dimensions more bloody.

Sitting on a couch/chair or lying down on a bed commenting shitty stuff like this? What was the "lol" for? You are those Gen z's people who think dying is funny. Let's put you in a war and see how YOU act. It's Not like your lazy ass is gonna even run 100 meters. Piece of shit. At least have some goddamn respect.

Learn from the Nam generation. Their story is much more relevant than the heroic tales of a war from a bygone era. But Nam vets lived through the most divisive time in american history outside of the civil war in the 60s and 70s and got dealt the worst hsnd by Uncle Sam when they came back home from a war that was much less heroic than the one this old vet fought in. And I reckon their knowledge might be much more relevant in todays climate. Lets make it where when they reach this mans age, theyre shedding tears of how far we've come and joy at the virtue and solidarity of the country instead of tears of despair like this poor vet.

The Axis literally fought against this. While the allies fought for Rotchschild and other bankers. It's ironic people say allies fought for freedom when it was the Germans that liberated countries from communism while Britain and America left Eastern Europe to Stalin.

Thank you for your service? When is it time to punish those who trick us into unjust wars?? Wars that make the enemy rich. Wars that kill the innocent under the lie of “self defence”, “democracy” & “fighting for our freedom”. And 8 first cousins went to Korea. And out of my family of four boys it was the only one that went to Vietnam 67-68 I was there for the ' Test Offensive ' . Any Nam. Veteran can tell you about that New Years party !. Yes to say I would do again ! BUT the way this administration is running OUR America into the squalor , pure disgust !! Did you know that the movie shown in this vid, "Saving Private Ryan" was the closest actual thing to d-day and they didnt let veterans watch due to the fact that they might get flashbacks to the war. The fact that you can see the pure horrors these men went through just for us to ruin what they fought for. These men were true heroes, and although the characters in "Saving Private Ryan" arent real, they are the most accurate depiction we have of this tradegy. This comment most likely wont get many likes but people should know that these men are the definition of courage, determination, and pure spirit.

The small connections small towns have to men who fought in the great war.. A lady who lived around the corner from me, where I grew up, her husband died in 1918. She had a garden of the most beautiful flowers and decorations in his memory. Mrs Barry, I hope you & your husband are now eternally embraced in each others arms. Truest of love as she never remarried only enjoyed the company of children playing on the green and street where we lived. A piece of time I miss but deadly respect the memory of a past generation

I’m sad to see this level of distress in him at his advanced age, but the world changes. You can’t stop the change. To think the world or the US was at its zenith in the 40’s is foolish. I pine for the 80’s when I was young, but I know the world changes. Scientific achievements, medical achievements, human rights and civil rights achievements. There are so many great things that exist now that didn’t in the 40’s. All he can think about are the specific things making him upset.
